Read A Thon Kick Off Event: January 26

The annual CHSA Read-a-thon event will kick off

during class on Thursday January 26th at 11am and

3pm. This event begins our month long reading

drive—always a highlight of the year! Talk to your

caseload teacher and watch the website for more

information from the school. The PBC supports this

program by providing funding for the Kick Off and

the party for those who successfully meet their

reading goals.

Scholastic Book Fair: 1/26-2/3/17

Volunteers Needed—Sign up in CHSA office

Along with the Read-a-thon, CHSA runs a Scholastic

Book Fair for one week, this year from Thursday

1/26 through Thursday 2/3. Help is needed for set

up (1/25 at 2pm) & tear down (2/3 at 3:30pm) and

for all hours of the school days during the Fair. The

PBC supports this event by advertising the need for

volunteers. All proceeds directly benefit CHSA and

do not run through the PBC.

Sierra at Tahoe Discount Day: Monday January 30,

February 13, and March 6: The first Discount Day

for Sierra at Tahoe has been arranged for Monday,

January 30th. See the CHSA office for signup sheets

and details.

Spring Box Tops: Please bring your Box Tops to the

school office by 2/22—this will be our last submis-

sion of the year. Thanks!

Nugget Scrip Cards: Scrip Cards for Nugget and

ForkLift markets are available in the CHSA office.

Please pick up one of these free shopping cards and

register it online. Up to 4% of your purchases will be

donated to the school!

per's card. Under "Manage Your Account"

find the link for "Extra Credit. Choose our

school, "Charter Home Study Academy" as

the organization you would like to support. Designate the % of your

donations that you would like to go to CHSA/CCA and click "save

your selections."

Board Member Elections:

You have a new Parent Booster Club Board – welcome back returning members Danielle Chaloupka, Jen Swarbrick, Jill Kearney, and Patricia Hicks. A special welcome to new mem-

bers Elissa Schooler, Georgina Gilmore, and Colleen McGee.

PBC Meeting Minutes: Most families at CCA and CHSA have signed up as members of the PBC and are entitled to re-view our meeting minutes. These are available by request via email or you may view them in

the PBC binder in the CHSA office, under the PBC Bulletin Board.
