Yes, 2016 is behind us and now we are looking forward to the New Year, 2017. It will give us a

chance to look back, but also to look forward to another great year in Green Valley Ranch. The 2017 GVR Metropolitan District budget was approved at the November 2016 Board meeting.

With this budget, the Metro District can move forward with a clear and a positive direction. Plans for the new maintenance building are nearing completion. This building will be used for the

maintenance staff, equipment, tools etc. There also will be a space designated for a classroom/multi-use area.

You probably have noticed with your own water bill, that keeping your lawn, trees, and shrubbery looking great is expensive. The Metro District maintains large green spaces and the water bills this past summer were high! In the 2017 budget, there is a large amount allotted for just this. Our community will keep on looking great!

The community programs are going well. The After School camps and day camps are maintaining their enrollment and are quite popular. The senior activities are also in demand.

In May of 2016, the Metro Board welcomed a new member Ms. Stephanie Brack. After Board member Mr. Michael Haskins resigned, Mr. Anthony Noble was appointed to fill this vacancy.

The staff at the Metro District office has had a very busy year. They are doing a great job keeping up with the growing demands of our homeowners. If you want to know what is going on in your District stop by, phone or write.

Become involved; remember, without your voice your neighborhood can not thrive.

For all of you, best wishes for 2017! Fenna Tanner, Board President
