Time is such a mysterious thing in life. Weeks fly by as routine brings with it patterns that seem to rotate days into years so expeditiously. Yet when we have a power outage or, worse yet, a tragic set of circumstances it is as though minutes become years in and of themselves! We are in the middle of a series entitled MIND THE GAP, and today’s GAP that we are drawing attention to is that space in time between here and there. Here being our present situation and all that it entails and there being our eternal destiny and all that awaits. The here can become so important to us that we tend to think there is a long way off or tend not to think about there at all. Through the Bible today, God wants to remind us or, in some cases, inform us that ANTICIPATION should be the mark of the GAP between here and there. John had a revelation that God inspired him to share with all of us. We find it at the end of our Bible and its conclusion encompasses the main themes we need to hear and be awakened by today. Jesus puts His stamp on this revelation and declares: “I, Jesus, have sent my angel to give you this message for the churches. I am both the source of David and the heir to his throne. I am the bright morning star…Yes, I am coming soon.” [Revelation 22:16, 20 NLT] He is coming again. We must embrace the unknown of when, all the while seeing our anticipation not waning but growing stronger. The truth of His imminent return and the eternity that awaits should propel us to live to honour Him with our lives and to serve humanity the same grace and truth our heavenly Father demonstrates! This should serve as a wakeup call to all of us: MIND THE GAP! The space from here to there may not be what you think it is. Pray with me: “Awaken me Lord to the reality that you could return at any moment. May my life’s choices and mission reflect that truth. I want to live in light of eternity. Let obedience be my response to you and my heart for others be seen in my prayers and my life.” Forward, Pastor Matt Giving for January Missions Giving: Goal for January: $7,500.00 Giving for January: $4,068.50 Building Fund: Goal for January: $6,700.00 Giving for January: $3,329.00 Leadership Pastors & their families Church Board Ministry Leaders Ministry Focus Care Ministry Torbay Family Church Plant Missions Clarence (Jr.) & Ivy Andrews, Nain Dave & Ann Rideout, S.E. Welcome to Bethesda Morning Service 10:00 am Nursery (0 – 3 years) 10:00 am Sunday School Regular Classes 10:45 am

Preschool – Grade 6

Please join us after the morning service

today for a church social in the MP Room.

Everyone is welcome!

Evening Service 6:00 pm Nursery (0 – 3 years) 6:00 pm Please note that the Nursery is unsupervised during the pm service. Children must be accompanied by

a parent.

Time is such a mysterious thing in life. Weeks fly by as routine

brings with it patterns that seem to rotate days into years so

expeditiously. Yet when we have a power outage or, worse

yet, a tragic set of circumstances it is as though minutes

become years in and of themselves!

We are in the middle of a series entitled MIND THE GAP, and

today’s GAP that we are drawing attention to is that space in

time between here and there. Here being our present

situation and all that it entails and there being our eternal

destiny and all that awaits.

The here can become so important to us that we tend to think

there is a long way off or tend not to think about there at all.

Through the Bible today, God wants to remind us or, in some

cases, inform us that ANTICIPATION should be the mark of the

GAP between here and there.

John had a revelation that God inspired him to share with all of

us. We find it at the end of our Bible and its conclusion

encompasses the main themes we need to hear and be

awakened by today. Jesus puts His stamp on this revelation

and declares:

“I, Jesus, have sent my angel to give you this message for

the churches. I am both the source of David and the heir to

his throne. I am the bright morning star…Yes, I am coming

soon.” [Revelation 22:16, 20 NLT]

He is coming again. We must embrace the unknown of when,

all the while seeing our anticipation not waning but growing

stronger. The truth of His imminent return and the eternity

that awaits should propel us to live to honour Him with our

lives and to serve humanity the same grace and truth our

heavenly Father demonstrates! This should serve as a wakeup

call to all of us: MIND THE GAP! The space from here to

there may not be what you think it is.

Pray with me: “Awaken me Lord to the reality that you could

return at any moment. May my life’s choices and mission

reflect that truth. I want to live in light of eternity. Let obedience be my response to you and my heart for others be

seen in my prayers and my life.”

Forward,

Pastor Matt
