ESCAMBIA SOIL AND WATER CONSERVATION DISTRICT BOARD OF SUPERVISORS' MINUTES January 21, 2015 Board Members in Attendance Mrs. Anne Bennett, Treasurer; Mr. Jacob Gilmore, Member; Mr. Steve Jones, Member. Attendees Mr. Joshua McElhaney, District Conservationist, USDA/NRCS; Ms. Cathy Hardin, County Forester. Call to Order Mrs. Anne Bennett called the meeting to order at 8:10am. Guests were introduced. Mr. Steve Jones presented the Pledge of Allegiance. For invocation, a moment of silence was called. Minutes of the Last Meeting Mr. Jacob Gilmore made a motion to accept the December 2014 Board minutes. Mr. Jones seconded the motion. Motion carried unopposed. Acknowledgement of Public Notice The meeting advertisement was noted. Treasurer's Report Mrs. Bennett gave the treasurer’s report. The account is in balance. With all in favor, the Treasurer’s report was approved. Regarding the NACD dues, Mr. Jones made a motion not pay the dues. Mr. Gilmore seconded the motion. The motion carried unopposed. New Business Discussion was held on the election of officers for 2015. Mrs. Bennett made a motion to approve the following officers. Mr. Jones seconded the motion. With all in favor the elected officers for the 2015 ESWCD Board of Supervisors are: Mr. Lynn Laird, Chairman Mr. Jacob Gilmore, Vice-Chairman Mrs. Anne Bennett, Treasurer Mr. Steve Jones, Secretary

Discussion was held on the ESWCD Board of Supervisors’ meeting schedule for 2015. Mr. Jones made a motion to approve the following meeting schedule. Mr. Gilmore seconded the motion. With all in favor the 2015 ESWCD meeting schedule will be: Every third Wednesday of the month at 8:00am in the Molino Farm Bureau meeting room. Reports Joshua McElhaney gave the District Conservationist’s Report. The Environmental Quality Incentives Program (EQIP) sign up dead line is March 20, 2015. With no further business coming before the Board, Mr. Jones made a motion to adjourn. Mr. Gilmore seconded the motion. The meeting adjourned at 9:00 _____________________ Mr. Steve Jones, Secretary
