“Do justly, have mercy, walk humbly with Your God.” Micah 6:8

Catholic Schools Week: We will be celebrating Catholic Schools Week from January 28th until February 1st. We open Catholic Schools Week on Sunday, January 28th with an Open House and our annual Scholastic Book Fair from 9 am until Noon. Invite anyone you may know with Pre-k through 8th grade children to come and look at our wonderful school. Our Book Fair has books for every reading level from picture books to cookbooks. Grandparent/Special Visitor Day: Our students will be having their Grandparents or a special visi-tor visiting them on January 31. Mass will be at 9 am on that morning. We hope that our commu-nity can join us. Annual Appeal: Our Annual Appeal continues until the end of the school year. Please prayerfully consider the amount you can contribute! Scrip: Scrip is Gift Cards we purchase at a dis-count and sell at face value. We sell Scrip Gift Cards every school day in the school office from 7:00 am until 3:30 pm. Scrip Gift Cards are also available on Sundays after the St. Louis 8 am Mass from Karen Herinckx and after the Sacred Heart 10 am Mass from Melanie Saalfeld.

THIRD SUNDAY IN ORDINARY TIME Jonah 3:1-5, 10, 1 Corinthians 7:29-31

Mark 1:14-20

Brief Reflection: Let us heed God’s call. How many times do we have to stumble and fall be-fore we realize that following God’s ways, and not our own, leads to happiness and salvation? Let us not resist the Lord, but answer his call.

There will be a celebration honoring Marion Zellner’s 80th birthday, Sunday, January 21, from 1 to 4 pm in the Sacred Heart Hall.

Grade School FAITH FORMATION Parents: FEBRUARY 7TH is First Confession for 2nd year students preparing for First Holy Communion. Please come to Sacred Heart Church at 6:15 pm. We will be having 2 priests to hear First Con-fession: Fr. Chrispine and Msgr. Moys from St. Paul Parish in St. Paul. We need to have at least 1 parent or guardian accompany their child/children for this. Please help your children for the next few weeks to make a good examination of conscience and possibly write down some of the things they are sorry for. Also, help them practice their Act of Contrition. The children will natu-rally be nervous, but please support them and tell them the sacra-ment is all about them receiving the gift of God’s forgiving love. Questions or concerns? Please contact Nanette Kuga (Tues, Wed & Fri), Spanish: Arcelia Pelayo (Wed), Sr. Maria or Sr. Blanca at the parish office on (Wed and Thurs).

TERCER DOMINGO DEL TIEMPO ORDINARIO Jonás 3:1-5, 10, 1 Corintios 7:29-31
