Spring Showcases With the start of a new semester comes new recruiting events and oppor-tunities for students to both learn about and network with accounting firms. The first of the four Spring Showcases begin on January 29th in McCoy College and provides students a exceptional way to start off the semester as they work to secure internships. The evening will begin with firms making presentations to students about their firm’s history, client profile, and cul-ture, which differentiates this event from Meet the Firms. After firm information sessions, students are invited to network with recruiters during a reception to further discuss career opportunities. Twenty-three firms will be participating over the course of four evenings. Continued on page 2

Spring Graduate Assistants
This spring, we have 6 Graduate Assistants (GAs) who will be assisting our accounting faculty and students. Five of the GAs will be assisting ACC 2301, ACC 2361, ACC 2362, and ACC 3313 in order to help students understand the material by holding additional office hours outside of those offered by faculty. Our GA currently pursuing an M.F.A, Abigail Kipp, will help grade written assignments. All of our GAs will contrib-ute to grading, proctoring, and other department tasks. The GAs have been selected based on their strong academic performance in both their undergradu-ate and master degrees. They play a vital role in helping students and our department succeed.
