Happy New Year!!!
I pray you are looking forward to the new year and the new opportu-nities that God will present you with. I want to encourage you to pray over and write down some goals for this new year. I would encourage you to think and pray over personal goals, professional goals and spir-itual goals. Setting goals and working toward them are important in every area of life. For example, a personal goal might be to exercise 3 days a week or lose 20 pounds. A spiritual goal might be to read through the Bible this year or read through the NT or memorize 12 Bible verses. Whatever goals you choose to set write them down and keep them close as a reminder and an encouragement. Without goals we tend to go with the flow of life without any specific destination and without a specific destination we will never know if we have ar-rived. The reality of goal setting is this: we may not accomplish all the goals we set but the effort and focus of working toward them will grow us, encourage us and motivate us to keep moving forward.
As a staff we are working on some goals for our church and minis-tries. We are praying for God’s wisdom and guidance in setting these goals. As we work toward them we will work with a focus and resolve to watch God move mightily in our congregation and community. As we settle on these goals we will communicate them with you and ask you to pray with us and work with us to accomplish these objectives for the glory of God.
Looking forward to a productive 2018 as we move forward in making an eternal difference in this community and around the world.
