EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR MESSAGE
Donnis J. Hueftle-Bullock ~ Happy New Year! Here at the Chamber, we are looking forward
to 2016. With that, will come some “new” events at the Chamber and many of the traditional
events. We will start the year with the annual Chamber Banquet. We are very happy to cele-
brate all the membership who have anniversaries in 2016 by presenting a beautiful anniversary
plaque that we have Shirts, Signs, Mugs and More make especially for each business. If you
have not gotten your anniversary form back to the office, please get it back with your ticket
order so we can get the plaques ordered. Something new that we are planning on is the Home,
Leisure & Tasting Show. A Home show has not been done in Broken Bow for a while, but we
certainly have some great businesses to showcase so we are happy to offer that for our member-
ship. If you want a booth, be sure and call the office ASAP. Putting the “Tasting” with it will
be NEW! It will be a night to experience something new and an evening to sit back and enjoy
your friends and other business associates in Broken Bow. Be sure and look at all the infor-
mation in this newsletter, it should let you know all there is going on with the Chamber!

Festival of Lights Parade 2015 ~ It was a perfect night in Broken Bow, the Festival of Lights event was a team
effort! We are so fortunate that the Broken Bow Lions Club, The City of Broken Bow, The Broken Bow Fire Department
could each take an area to help out. The Lions take on the parade organization, The City, the lights, it was a comfort to have
the Broken Bow Fire Department to watch over the fire pits to keep everyone safe. We thank, Cecil Burt, Brent Clark and
Noel Parker who offered their fire pits and Mayor Burt for lighting the pits. Prairie Grounds and Pizza Hut were a great
addition to have serving warm food and drinks in the
Square. Of course the music provided by the United
Methodist Choir really set the tone after the parade. Santa
in the Bandstand was the icing on the night! Santa and the
choir were kept warmer thanks to Cecil Burt, LLC for
providing Sun Heaters! Such a great night. Thanks again
to all who helped make it GREAT. Watch for Festival of
Lights for 2016. I would say you can expect an even better
event next year!

2016 Chamber Directory
The 2015 Chamber of Commerce Directory and Guide to
Broken Bow was overwhelmingly popular. We are just about
out, there were over 800 handed out at the brochure swap, all
the Broken Bow motels and hotels have them in their rooms
and they are made available to new residences and any tours
that come to Broken Bow. So far, we have gone through close
to 2,000. We are in the process of developing a similar 2016
directory. The ads are limited to Chamber members only. Due to the limited ad
space, we must allocate the space on a “first paid” basis. There will be 24 – ¼
page ads for $150; and 48 – 1/8 page ads for $90. Directory ad forms were sent in
the mail a few weeks ago. If you would like to have an ad, please get it back to the
office as soon as you can. If you have miss placed the form, just call and we will be
happy to send you one! If anyone wants to help with writing articles, please contact
the office, we will be happy to add you to the Directory Committee!!
Chamber Bucks for 2015
Chamber Bucks make a great Christmas bonus or holiday gift. But as you can see be-
low, many of you get and give Chamber Bucks throughout the year! Congratulations to
all of you for thinking about Chamber Bucks and boosting the total for the year over
$5,000!
2015 2014

What if you were able to watch your livestock from home.
Not just from home, but anywhere; on the road, on vacation,
anyplace.
Perhaps you need to watch an operation. Maybe it's automat-
ed, maybe you're just trying to watch for the outliers that elude
you while you're there.
Quite possibly you may just want the security or peace of
mind, the reassurance. The kind that comes from you watching...
even if you can't be there.
Surveillance systems have a near unlimited amount of uses
and can be placed virtually anywhere. You'll learn about
different surveillance system technologies, advantages and
disadvantages, plus various uses and applications.
You bring your lunch, we will provide the education. Call
the office 872-5691 to save your seat!!!

CITIZEN OF THE YEAR
_____Don Wolford-Lions Club – Has been instrumental in getting the building for the Food Pantry & helps with Colorado fruit
sales. He is Santa every year & will come to area businesses when request him. He helps at C Street Auction.
_____Stuart Fox- Stuart is involved in multiple businesses & organizations. Stuart devotes himself, his resources, & resources of
his various businesses to help promote Broken Bow & Custer County.
_____Deb McCaslin-Deb does an unbelievable amount of community volunteer work. Has sacrificed her retirement plans to help
with CEDC.
_____Art & Dianne Anderson-Art & Dianne not only run a business in Broken Bow, but they also are actively involved in several
economic development and business enterprises. They give generously to many events, charities and organizations that benefit Cus-
ter County and are quick to support and promote the community, the area schools and events. Many times their support is low key,
meaning they aren’t the people you find out front, but you do see them actively involved in promoting, supporting, and donating to
more events and community causes than one can count.
BUSINESS OF THE YEAR
_____ Off Broadway – They delivered Thanksgiving & Christmas meals. Has a grandparent program in conjunction with the li-
brary.
_____Kids Kloset/My Kloset-Active in providing clothing for all genders & all ages and have brought prices down in a slower
economy & stay active in the community.
_____Ag-Land ATV-Continues to provide a needed service to the greater area. Provides excellent service & sales at reasonable
rates, provides several employment opportunities.
_____KCNI-From broadcasting area events, to promoting key community causes and giving area businesses a fun forum with
which to promote their business, this radio station seems dedicated to the community and events that help Broken Bow grow. They
also shop locally.
_____ Pearson Physical Therapy, P.C. - I would nominate Pearson Physical Therapy PC for the Business of the Year. In offering
their free Stride Clinics it give people an open invitation to enter their door and discuss issues I was able to take advantage of this
service and enjoy a better life because of recommendations made by the staff. The free stride clinics are beneficial to the community
because an individual can go in and visit with Becky and her staff and determine if there is a solution to the problem. All of the staff
is very friendly and very helpful and I feel they make a large contribution to the community. Pearson PT participates and donates to
various events.
OVER
EXCELLENCE IN CUSTOMER SERVICE (Individual)
_____Kevin & Joyce Richardson-Runza-are the top when it comes to Customer Service. They not only promote excellent custom-
er service, but also demand this out of their help. Do they deserve it, “Absolutely!”
_____Donna Winbolt-Trotters Whoa & Go-working at Trotters locations, Donna is always extremely helpful & friendly. Main-
tains positive attitude & a smile at all times.
_____ Dick & Jodene Taylor-Bow Booterie - for Excellence in Customer Service. Dick and Jodene Taylor exemplify everything
that Broken Bow stands for. They strive very hard to provide quality products at more than reasonable prices along with some very
timely sales. The personal attention that they give to each customer is next to none.
EXCELLENCE IN CUSTOMER SERVICE (Business)
_____ Govier Brothers Mortuary – Doug & Grant are always available & are very respectful to the families day or night. Work
hard at meeting all customers’ requests in a very professional way.
_____Runza- is the top when it comes to Customer Service. They not only promote excellent customer service, but also demand
this out of their help. Do they deserve it, “Absolutely”. Excellent product served with a smile. They are speedy, friendly, and are
always providing community fundraising opportunities.
_____Designs of Distinction-This is a much needed business in Broken Bow and Trish McCarron brings the best to our community.
She has an established inventory with the added bonus of being able to order just about anything you’d want. For me the best part is
her installation service. Trish takes care of the measuring, helps with color/textures, and installs her products. An amazing business
that takes great care of their customers!
______Shelter Insurance-Here is a business that takes extra care of their customers! Brent Custer and his staff are the ones you
want on the other end of the phone when you have to make the call to your agent. I have never had another agent keep me as in-
formed once I have a policy in force.
