Bula from Fiji

Bula ASEP & SEP Alumni! ( bula = sawasdii khrap)

Just a quick message from the Fiji Islands in the South Pacific. As some of you know (especially SEP 15) I have had a long association with Fiji through marriage; in fact the first time I came to Fiji was in 1972 after a traineeship in Thailand (again in Bangkok from 1991-1997, and 2000-2008). Should ANY of the ASEP & SEP alumni, staff, relatives or friends ever need any assistance/advice regarding travel or business in Fiji, please do not hesitate to contact me as I’ll be happy to help. Fiji is a beautiful island country, with many large resort hotels such as Hilton, Sheraton, Shangri-la, Westin, Sofitel etc, but also many small resorts ranging from high-end backpackers to ultimate boutique resorts where the Hollywood crowd arrive by private jets. Excellent golfing, game fishing and some of the world’s best surfing and diving. Daily flights from Sydney, Brisbane, Auckland and Seoul; as of June 09 also from HKG (Air Pacific, 50% owned by Qantas). Population of only 850 thsd; 50% Fijian, 40% Indian descent, 10 % mixed and Chinese; 600thsd tourist arrivals and growing. Plenty opportunities in agro, energy, telecom and hospitality business, and very attractive incentives in the 2009 Budget incl 13-20 year tax holidays. I’m based in Nadi near the largest international airport; just drop me a line, or stop by at Bulaccino Café (where I have my office) for a chat, a great Italian coffee, and Thai green curry for lunch!
