Entrance Hymn Come let us bow down to Christ, As we worship Him, The Son of God. Save us, O Son of God, Who did rise from the dead, We sing to You: Alleluia

Resurrectional Apolytikion (Plagal One) To the Word, coeternal with the Father and the Spirit, Born of the Virgin for our salvation, Let us, the faithful, give praise and worship. For He willed to be lifted upon the Cross in the flesh, To endure death and raise the dead By His glorious Resurrection.

Apolytikion for the Saint From infancy fervently you loved and longed for the Lord; You therefore renounced the world and every worldly delight, And excelled in ascetic feats. You set the hut you dwelt in before the gates of your parents. Therein, all-blessed struggler, You crushed the snare of the demons. And therefore, O John, Christ has glorified you worthily.

Church Hymn (Troparion of Pentecost) Blessed are You O Christ our God Who has shown the fishermen as wise men By sending down Your Holy Spirit upon them And through them, the whole world You drew into Your net O Lover of mankind, glory to You. Evlogitos i Hriste O Theos imon, O Pansofous tous aliis anadixas, Katapempsas aftis to Pnevma to agion, Ke thi afton tin ikoumenin saginefsas, Filanthrope doxa Si.

Kontakion Presentation of Lord in Temple

For our salvation You took flesh And You sanctified the Virgin's womb; You blessed the aged Simeon as You lay resting in his arms. And having come to save us all, O Christ our God, To these troubled times, bring Your lasting peace. Give strong and undaunted faith to all Your people, O only Lover of mankind.

After the Prayer of the Proskomidi I love you, O Lord my strength. The Lord is my rock and my fortress and my Savior.

Upcoming Weeks

EPISTLE READING: St. Paul's Letter to the Colossians 3:4-11 BRETHREN, when Christ who is our life appears, then you also will appear with him in glory. Put to death therefore what is earthly in you: fornication, impurity, passion, evil desire, and covetousness, which is idolatry. On account of these the wrath of God is coming upon the sons of disobedience. In these you once walked, when you lived in them. But now put them all away; anger, wrath, malice, slander, and foul talk from your mouth. Do not lie to one another, seeing that you have put off the old nature with its practices and have put on the new nature, which is being renewed in knowledge after the image of its creator. Here there cannot be Greek and Jew, circumcised and uncircumcised, barbarian, Scythian, slave, free man, but Christ is all, and in all.

GOSPEL READING: The Gospel according to St. Luke 17:12-19 At that time, as Jesus entered a village, He was met by ten lepers, who stood at a distance and lifted up their voices and said: "Jesus, Master, have mercy on us." When He saw them He said to them, "Go and show yourselves to the priests." And as they went they were cleansed. Then one of them, when he saw that he was healed, turned back, praising God with a loud voice; and he fell on his face at Jesus's feet, giving Him thanks. Now he was a Samaritan. Then said Jesus: "Were not ten cleansed? Where are the nine? Was no one found to return and give praise to God except this foreigner?" And He said to him: "Rise and go your way; your faith has made you well."

New IRA Law

For those who are 70 ½ years old and older, consider this new charitable contribution transfer directly from your IRA to Holy Trinity Church -- with NO tax and NO penalty. Maximum annual amount per year can total $100,000. This is a win-win for donor and Holy Trinity Church!

Iconography Phase 3

Those interested in donating an icon for Phase 3 are encouraged to review the updated list of available icons. The process is the same as Phase 2 -- "first come, first served". Please include the Code Number on the memo line of the check. If another means of donating the funds is used, the Code Number should be either written on paper or sent in an email to avoid any confusion. When full payment is received, the icon is then considered donated and thus not available to anyone else. A display of sketches for Phase 3 is in the Founders' Walk.

If a particular Saint is not included on the present list, please inform Father Bill in written form which other Saint might be considered. When Dr. Kordis begins his work, more Saints may be included.

Attention Future Missionaries

Holy Trinity Missions Committee offers a great program. Mission trip to Project Mexico is June 5-12, 2017, and Guatemala is August 1-8, 2017. Parishioners can participate in Missions Committee fundraising events, while also receiving subsidies to go on a Holy Trinity sponsored mission trip. Please contact Helen Young at [email protected] or call 317-841-3508.

Parish Office Request

To assist our Parish Office Staff in keeping accurate records, please include the purpose of each donation in any form. For example, when donating by check, please include the words “Stewardship 2017” or "sound system" on the memo line; if giving via Paypal, include the giver’s full name and address, and in the Notes section, enter the purpose; OR when sending cash, please write the giver's name and the purpose on a note or envelope. The Office Staff greatly appreciates the cooperation of our parishioners, enabling the donation to be properly recorded in the appropriate account.

Helping the Hungry

Please bring flip-top cans of soup, paper towels, toilet paper, paper plates and granola bars to Church, and put them in the blue Philoptochos bin. The soup will be given to patrons of the Soup Kitchen as a takeout. Chicken Noodle soup is preferred.
