It was a stylish night under the big top as guests gathered to mingle and enjoy Cirque du Soleil’s newest show — “KURIOS: Cabinet of Curiosities,” produced by Live Nation at the United Center’s parking lot (1901 W. Madison). The VIP crowd enjoyed more than just elephant ears and cotton candy — think cocktails, chicken empanadas, reuben fritters, wild mushroom goat cheese flatbread and arancini — inside a yellow and blue striped tent at the Splash-hosted, circus-themed soiree.

BMO Breakfast with Richard MelmanFounder and chairman of Lettuce Entertain You Restaurants Richard Melman invited guests to learn the secrets to his success at a BMOHarris Bank and Splash-sponsored breakfast at Thompson Chicago (21 E. Bellevue). Leslie Anderson, self-proclaimed foodie and senior vice president and regional head of business banking for BMOHarris Bank, moderated the conversation with the famed restaurateur before opening it up for a Q&A with the audience, who enjoyed a delicious meal provided by the hotel.
GEMS Mommy ChatsThe city’s most stylish and influential women led a panel discussion — moderated by Monica Royer, founder of Monica + Andy, and Corri McFadden, founder of Glitter & Bubbles — about the day-to-day life of a modern mom at the prestigious private school (350 E. South Water). The Splash-hosted event featured tea by Argo, plus K. Grace babysitters on-hand during the panel discussion, which also included Marie Whitney of Two Penny Blue, Nikia Jefferson of ChiTown Fashionista, writer Amalie Drury, Rachel Rischall of Brendan Sodikoff’s Hogsalt Hospitality and Emma Arnold of Très Awesome.
Neiman Marcus Shoe BashShoe-lovers packed Neiman Marcus Michigan Avenue (737 N. Michigan) for the retailer’s Shoe Bash. At the Splash-sponsored party, guests indulged in cocktails and bites while perusing the latest from luxe labels, including Christian Louboutin, Laurence Dacade, Manolo Blahnik, René Caovilla and Tom Ford. Designer Angela Scott made it an extra-stylish occasion, talking with guests about her latest collection, The Office. One lucky shoe enthusiast walked away with a new pair of Scott’s designs after drawing the winning prize from an arcade-style crane machine.
