the gift of colorSpring means different things to

different people. I’ve always lived in a seasonal climate, so spring has meant the coming of color to me. Out with the black, white and grey and in with yellow, orange, pink, red and all shades of bright fresh greens – no holds barred – a joyful mix of colors that makes you feel like dancing.

I remember flying out of Boston one bleak winter day and seeing nothing but shades of grey below. When we touched down in Nassau, it was like going from a black and white film to a Technicolor one, aquamarine water, peach, purple and pink bougainvil-lea and a bright blue sky. Blood that hadn’t reached my feet since the first day of winter started to tickle my toes. That’s what color can do for you. It makes you feel alive. And that’s our gift to you with this spring’s collection - color that will stimulate your senses and fill you with excitement for the fun-filled days ahead.

We’ve included something won-derful for every part of the face, so let’s start with the eyes. As the days get warmer, I know you want shim-mery, sensual eye-color that stays on no matter what, enter two new Eye Glosses. Eye Glosses have long been one of our most popular products and with good reason. They don’t crease or streak; they stay on even after a strenu-ous swim in the ocean, and they’re so easy to apply that it almost feels like cheating. Our two new colors mir-ror the aqua of Bahamian waters and the pink of the dawn. I love to use the Aqua as a liner as well as a shadow; it

makes every color eye pop. Smooth the gloss on with the applicator wand and blend with your finger, or use our Camouflage Brush. Either way, you’ll have a sheen to your lids that looks like silk and won’t come off until you want it to.

Your go-to lip colors this spring and summer will be our two new Just Kissed Lip Plumpers called L.A. and Rio. Many of you have been asking for L.A. as a single (it’s the Butter side of Sugar&Butter) so we’re thrilled to say, “Your wish is our command.” Rio is a rose-brown that knows no limits.

It works for all skin types, goes with whatever you’re wearing and can be put on without a mirror. There’s a Pink Lip Definer in the collection, too. Another wish granted!

If I had to choose a star in this collection, it would be our new bronzer, Rose Dawn. A quadrant of four colors that can be used on cheeks, eyes and lips. When we showed it to the celebrity makeup artist on our recent photography shoot, it was love at first sight and she used it on all the models in different ways. She told us that Rose Dawn was going to become a permanent part of her makeup kit. I really think that it’s going to become a permanent part of yours, too. It gives that instant, subtle inner glow that perfectly expresses Feeling Alive.

And what about the year ahead? Well, we have lots of surprises in store for you, some big and some small but all with the same intention in mind. We want to delight you; we

want to enhance your lives, and we want to serve you as you’ve never been served before.

Talk to you soon,

Every year the month of March is designated to honor the contributions made by women in America and around the world. The U.S Census Bureau notes March 8, 1857 as the key date in the movement to establish Women’s History Month. On that date, women factory workers in New York City protested over working conditions. Every year has a different theme. This year is ‘Our History is Our Strength.’

“A woman is like a tea bag; you never know how strong it is until it’s in hot water.”

what’s in

did you know that...?

There’s something intoxicating about a new relationship—and I happily speak this truism from firsthand experience, as I currently find myself spending a great deal of my hours with a blue eyed, golden haired, rosy cheeked Irish lass who had previously been “just a dear friend.” In the end, her ebullient personality, unmistakable

intelligence, and undeniable charm made it inevitable that we would someday be more than friends. Just in time for spring, I’m excited to see love bloom.

green tipReduce your paper use:•Always ask yourself if you

need to print this. •Print double sided. •Print on scrap paper.•Make margins as small as possible. There is

no need to waste an inch on all four sides of a piece of paper.

•Print 2 up to reduce size of pages on one sheet of paper.

•Unlike pesky paper, a digital note is hard to lose. Take advantage of e-minders: Use online shared calendars, send digital invites or text yourself the grocery list.

•Take your travel cup to your local java joint to save paper…. You might even get a discount!

It’s rich, multi-layered, and makes my skin glow. It also really pops in pictures, but doesn’t look like “too much.” It’s both soft and bold. Love it!”

PureBrow Fix & Mascara

“An absolute FAVORITE of mine. If I don’t want to color my brows but just keep them in place, this is the absolute BEST. I also use it on my eyelashes. Best of all - it looks natural!”

Complete In Touch Highlighter

“Simple, subtle shimmer that adds luminosity to every look. My favorite way to use it is on my brow bone - it opens up my eyes and makes me look well-rested even when I’m not! I don’t leave the house without applying it morning, noon or night.”

– S.S

Flushed PurePressed Blush

“A really gorgeous color! I’ve tried other brands for variety, but I keep coming back to this one.

Flushed PurePressed Blush“Gabrielle Union’s peach blush is so pretty. What is it? Flushed from jane iredale is swirled on the star’s cheekbones and apples... says makeup artist Natasha Greissing.”

the buzz about jane iredale

what sets us apart?

PureBrow Fix & Mascara“This dual-ended wand condi-tions brows and lashes with a clear gel. (No worrying about

smudges!) And unlike some gels, it doesn’t leave my

arches all stiff and crunchy.”

- Health, January/February 2012

Complete In Touch Highlighter“Pearly Shimmer – The whirling snowflakes on Chanel’s spring runway wafted down over a sea of pearls (in hair, affixed to skin, used

as buttons…) and chiffon. The accompanying gleamy, iridescent makeup was stunning: modern and wildly feminine all at once.”
