thOn the eve of 48 Raising Day of the Force an ‘At Home’ Ceremony was
organised at the lawns of CISF HQrs, New Delhi on 09.03.2017.

CISF Contingent adjudged “Best Marching Contingent”in Republic Day Parade- 2017 at Rajpath
CISF contingent marching at Rajpath, New Delhi
The CISF Contingent was adjudged the “Best Marching Contingent” amongst Para Military Forces and other Auxiliary Marching Contingents in Republic Day Parade 2017. CISF contingent consisting of 148 Officers and men (AC-01, Lady Sub Officers-03, Other Ranks–144, Total-148) was led by Shri Prabh Simran Singh, Assistant Commandant. This is the fifth time that CISF has won this trophy. Earlier, in the years 2007, 2008, 2013 & 2015 CISF had won the Best Marching Contingent Trophy.
DG CISF congratulated the Contingent for excellent performance and bringing laurels to the organization. He also congratulated Smt Shikha Goyal, IG (North Sector), Shri Dayal Gangwar, DIG (NCR) and Shri P P Singh,
thSr. Commandant, 5 Reserve Battalian, Ghaziabad, Inspector Tejvir Singh, Inspector Pawan Kumar Bhati (Chief Drill Instructor), Head Constable Arun Dhama (Drill Instructor), Constable Ombir Singh (PT Instructor) for shaping the contingent perfectly to win the Best Marching Trophy.

On 21.02.2017, a function was organized at South Block, New Delhi for presentation of trophies, to the best contingents during Republic Day Parade-2017 in various categories. Shri Manohar Parrikar, the then Hon’ble Minister for Defence presented the "Best Marching Contingent Trophy" to CISF and congratulated DG CISF for the excellent performance by CISF Contingent.

th thCISF celebrated its 48 Raising Day in a grand, colourful and ceremonial manner at 5 Reserve Battalion Campus, Indirapuram, Ghaziabad. On this occasion, Hon’ble Minister of State for Home Shri Kiren Rijiju was the Chief Guest. The Hon’ble Minister of State for Home took the salute and reviewed the parade.
Shri O P Singh, DG CISF welcomed the Chief Guest and all the other invitees. In his welcome address Shri O P Singh highlighted the achievements of the Force. While addressing, he informed that CISF will soon raise Special Tactics Wing (STW) for imparting training to its personnel posted at airports and naxal infested units to counter the threats emanating from trans-national and anti-social elements. He further assured that CISF personnel will perform their duties with utmost devotion and dedication in coming years to uphold its motto ‘Protection & Security’.
Hon’ble Minister of State for Home Shri Kiren Rijiju conveyed his felicitations for the hard work put in by CISF personnel to carry the Force forward. He congratulated the parade commander and all the contingent personnel for their excellent performance. He also congratulated all the Medal Recipients decorated with President's Police Medal for Distinguished Service, Police Medal for Meritorious Service and Fire Service Medals for their exemplary performance. He acknowledged CISF as a unique and multidimensional force playing a diversified role in securing the critical establishments of the country.

On 24.01.2017, a motivational talk was delivered by HE Governor of Puducherry Smt Kiran Bedi, at Metro Bhawan, Barakhambha, New Delhi. Shri O P Singh, Director General, CISF welcomed the Chief Guest. Senior officers of CISF and personnel from Delhi NCR units of CISF were present on the occasion.
Shri O P Singh, DG CISF in his welcome address said that the vast knowledge and experience coupled with the formidable skill as a police officer of HE Governor of Puducherry will benefit the officers of CISF in mentoring and man-management. He also explained that since its inception in the 1969, CISF as a force has evolved tremendously and established itself as a multi-skilled, professionally competent, tech savvy Central Armed Police Force. He said that the experience sharing and problem solving approach of her will benefit the force personnel in more than one way.
HE Lt Governor, Puducherry Smt Kiran Bedi while addressing the gathering, shared her personal experience of serving at Tihar Jail and psychology of criminals and methods to tackle various common problems/issues. She said that being in uniform, has certain pros and cons. Human psychology, personal responsibilities, professional leadership, sense of leadership, self policing, self-discipline are important ingredients of remarkable public dealing, good behavior with public will be helpful in projecting the good image of the Force. Keeping in view the present security scenario, she advised to accept the challenges in the spirit and emphasized to inculcate the habit of positive thinking. She also emphasized the importance of work and personal life balance to deal with the stress. In the end she appreciated the role played by CISF in National Security.

Sr. Officers’ Conference was held at CISF HQrs, New Delhi on 09.03.2017. DG CISF inaugurated and presided over the conference. The conference was attended by the Sr. Officers of Headquarters and field formations wherein threadbare deliberations were held on new initiatives in training, achievements, appreciation and good work done in the units.
On 31.01.2017, Shri O P Singh, DG CISF inaugurated “Fleet Management System” in association with Indian Oil Corporation Limited (IOCL) in a function at CISF HQrs, New Delhi. Senior officials of the IOCL & CISF were present on the occasion. CISF became the first CAPF in the country to launch this system.

On 21.02.2017, Shri O P Singh, DG CISF inaugurated multi-functional Ops Control Room at CISF HQrs, New Delhi. Shri R K Mishra, ADG (HQrs) and other senior officers of CISF were present on the occasion.

“Fleet Management System” will reduce operating costs and overheads, increase efficiency & simplify back-office functions. The economies offered through this programme will have an important bearings on the day to day operations of CISF and would benefit the Govt exchequer significantly. In real time fleet metric analysis, this translates to saving of minimum 12 lakhs for the Govt exchequer, besides other benefits. Further, the Pan–India deployment of the CISF and its targeted exponential growth will further catalyse the move towards a cashless economy & digitization. During interaction, DG CISF was emphatic that CISF is committed to the national cause of clean and efficient system of financial transactions as well as modernization.

CISF FPU Contingent is deployed at UN Mission Haiti since 2008. Every year the contingent is replaced by a new contingent of CISF. United Nation Mission has always appreciated the functioning of CISF at United Nations Stabilization Mission in Haiti and recently awarded CISF with a Commendation Certificate for its contribution in successful conduct of Haitian Presidential Elections in Nov, 2016.

Astitva Samman
Progress Harmony Development (PHD) family welfare foundation, working towards the holistic and integrated development of both women & children awarded CISF with “Astitva Samman” for promoting welfare schemes for women and empowering them. The honour recognizes an organization, corporation or an NGO which has made an outstanding contribution with positive results in empowering women in creating a more gender sensitive workplace. PHD Chamber annual awards for excellence were instituted in 1997 to recognize Indian business, entrepreneurs, and individuals for their outstanding achievements/contributions in select areas and to promote corporate and individual initiatives in economic, social and educational areas. The award is focused on a different theme & consists of a trophy and citation.

Shri Rajnath Singh, DIG Fire on behalf of CISF received the award in a award ceremony on 23.02.2017 at Banquet Hall, nd2 Floor, Main building, India Expo Mart (IEML) Greater Noida, Delhi-NCR.
CISF has done away with stamping off hand baggage tags at 07 major airports Delhi, Mumbai, Bangalore, Hyderabad, stKolkata, Cochin and Ahmedabad wef 1 April, 2017. This step will enhance the passenger experience by providing hassle
free security clearance at airports without compromising with the security requirements. Appropriate measures have been taken to upgrade the security system to adopt this new system for the convenience of passengers. The system will speed up the security clearance procedure and will give more time to CISF personnel for profiling.

E-Learning: Educational Package offered by prepmantra ofAYIBO Solutions for CAPFs
The AYIBO Solutions Private Limited (prepmantra) has provided a free educational package to the serving and retired personnel and their family members. The package is digitally available and cover more than 30 professional courses for all leading recruitment/entrance exams at free of cost.
By registering themselves individually with the website of the PrepMantra, the CISF personnel and family members will have the benefit of study material (notes and videos) for a wide range of competitive exams, customized practice texts, analysis of their performance and areas of improvement in relation to other students.
To register with PrepMantra, a student needs to have a parent or sibling who is a serving or retired CISF personnel. A valid service ID will enable the students to activate his/her account with PrepMantra. Students may subscribe for multiple courses, students will have to contact PrepMantra on the phone numbers provided.

On 28.02.2017, a mega mock exercise was conducted by CISF at Civil line metro station involving all the stake holders
on the scenario of “Bomb Blast with Collapsed Structure Level”. CISF, NDRF, DDMA, DMRP and Delhi Police
participated in the mock exercise.

During the exercise, CISF as first responder followed the drill and evacuated the passengers with the help of DMRC staff.
NDRF reached and started rescue operation. Within the time frame, other teams of various stake holders i.e., DDMA,
DMRP, Delhi Police, Dog Squad, BDDS, Fire Service, Traffic Police, Medical Services also reached at the spot and
actively participated in the mega exercise.

stOn 21 March, 2017 an exercise on Chlorine gas leakage, collapse of structure, vertical fire, and evacuation of trapped
personal was conducted at CISF Unit RSTPS Ramagundam. The exercise was an effort to enhance multi agency
coordination, capacity building, spreading community awareness and involvement of various stake holders for
preparation and conduct rescue operation in case of such disasters taking place in PSUs or its vicinity. CISF Fire & GD
personnel repatriated from NDRF alongwith Safety Department & employees of RSTPS Ramagundam, SCCL
Singreni, DDMA Karimnagar, State Fire Service and Local Police participated in the mock drill to make it a grand
success and an opportunity for all stake holders to sharpen their preparedness. Table Top Exercise was conducted prior to
mock exercise for assigning role and responsibilities to various stakeholders. CISF is fulfilling the obligation of
National policy on disaster management being Armed Force of the Union to play key role at the time of immediate
response during disaster.

CISF Unit DMRC Delhi organised an Education Drive on Metro Discipline and Etiquettes for the students at Okhla,
Rithala and Dwarka Metro Station.
Students and teachers of Govt. Girls Senior Secondary School, Okhla, Delhi, Chetanya Public School, Rithala and
Savodaya Vidyalaya, Kakrola were imparted training about the security and safety precautions to be taken while traveling
in metro. Practical knowledge of equipments used for security check was also given to the students. They were also
familiarized with the emergency exit during contingency in metro stations.

While addressing, Shri Nellore Perumallu, Commandant emphasized the important role of CISF in National Security. He
urged the trainees to prepare themselves to effectively meet the emerging challenges posed by anti-social elements. He
also advised them to discharge their duties with utmost honesty, sincerity and dedication and to maintain good health. He
