On September 9th, 2013 at 5:05 PM in South Hall, Room 223, I, Marcus Reynolds (Community Assistant) was involved in Housekeeping Hazard, along with my current roommate Jamius Gunsby (906210154). Initially, before the incident had arisen, I was in my dorm searching the web on my laptop. Suddenly, my roommate comes into the room from class and greets me. He subsequently gets into his bed and lies down. Next, there is a knock at the door. Since I am the closes to the door, I unlocked it. Once the door is open, my roommates guest comes in and sits in a chair the across from Jamius’ bed. There on after, Jamius and his guest are sitting down, preoccupied with a conversation about football. Abruptly, my roommate’s guest decides to use the bathroom. Before the guest use the bathroom, he decided to search the room for tissue paper. Without my permission, Jamius’ guest decides to grasps my paper towels from a self that houses my cleaning products. Before the guest proceeded to go into the bathroom, he asks me, “Do you guys have any tissue in here.” There was a small roll of tissue beside me, so I grabbed it and said, “All I have is this, but you can use it.” Then, the guest replied, “Naw man, I just mine as well use this.” So the guest unravels several of paper towel sheets, and enters the bathroom. He remains occupied in the bathroom for at least 10 minutes. Once the guest enters back in the room, he starts back a conversation with Jamius. After a few minutes go by, Jamius’ guest tries to go back into the bathroom and flush and toilet. The guest returns into the restroom and says, “Something must be wrong with yal toilet because it really isn’t going down.” My roommate and I reply with a no, and insist that nothing is usually wrong with it, and then we both proceed back to what we were doing. A few minutes later, there was a knock at the door. When I open the door, there stood South Hall’s GARD, Mr. Fayazzi. The GARD ask was there a flood in our bathroom. I replied with a no, and proceeded to examine the bathroom area. When I entered the toilet’s separate room, I realized that the water inside the toilet was nearly above the rim. Mr. Fayazzi then told me that he was notified by our suite mate, Andre’ Kennedy (906188791) about the toilet’s condition. Since I was unaware of the problem, I awaited further action from Mr. Fayazzi to resolve the issue. While waiting, I came back inside my room and noticed that Jamius’ guest had left. I then went and communicated with Andre’ about how the incident occurred. Andre’ then attempted to approach Jamius and ask for an explanation why he allow for his guest to use paper towels instead of toilet paper. Jamius angrily replied,” Man, I don’t even care about that toilet situation or what’s going on, I’m just trying to get out of here and get to the café.” Jamius then proceeded to the door and evacuated the premises. Mr. Fayazzi notified South Hall’s Manager, Mr. Adams, and a fine was issued. This concludes my incident report.
