technical leadership for RedHat Linux servers. Designed and built the entire OS automation process which allowed the Unix team to meet project goals upon

arrival at BB&T. Developed first standard builds, eliminated checklists and manual configurations. This method was largely industry standard using kickstart installations.

Principal Systems Engineer Led UNIX technical team for Fidelity Investments that supported 2200+ Linux servers over multiple datacenters and

provided technical leadership for Linux servers located on the VMware infrastructure. Served as the primary system administrator for over 350 RedHat Linux servers for Fidelity’s Unix Technical Services

whose Linux team consisted of seven administrators which supported over 2200+ individual servers. Servers were split evenly between hardware platforms and VMware virtual machines.

Supported mission critical applications supporting Fidelity’s world-wide customer base. Applications were focused on “three-nines” high availability and included the following strategies: clustering using VERITAS Cluster Services, scaling out, and rapid deployment.

Scripted solutions for task automation to increase team work efficiency. Primary script responsibility was automating the Bi-Yearly OS patching which saved the team hours of valuable time.

Build Technical Team Lead for xSeries Led technical team for the IBM xSeries Software Engineering Lab where all of IBM’s xSeries firmware, diagnostics

and management software for the xSeries product line was compiled and released. Created a VMware virtualized environment for the xSeries build lab infrastructure. Planned and installed Storage Area Network (SAN) using IBM FastT 600 and FastT 700 storage systems. Supervised three employees directly supporting the xSeries eServer build lab that contained over 100+ servers running multiple

versions of Windows and Linux. The lab had over 200+ developers, 300+ projects, and 700+ user accounts. Designed new prototype build system with new automation tools that used the VMware infrastructure. VMware prototype

included coding a Java based back-end that tied together the custom build automation with the VMware web service plug-in.
