Worts N All HomebrewWorts n All homebrew event, kicked off by Jeff Corfield in 1996, will be celebrating 20 years at Palm Creek. Based on the traditional brewers arts in song, poem and yarn, and of course the tasting, Worts n All will bring together brewers far and wide with their finest home brewed ales, lagers, stouts, ciders and other tipples for judgement by their Creeker peers.SUN HOMESTEAD 10:30AM

Alcohol will not be sold on the premises. Liquor legislations still apply and are enforced. Illegal substances will not be tolerated at the festival site. Offenders will be dealt with by the law. We ask you to be considerate of others, to abide by the conditions of entry printed on the tickets and online and have a great time at the festival.Open campfires are not permitted. For the comfort of others, please do not play loud music and drums in the camping area. In the interests of hygiene and the comfort of others, pets are not allowed on the festival site. Smoking is not permitted in outdoor eating areas and within 4 meters of marquees or enclosed

areas such as toilet and shower blocks.

About the FestivalThe Palm Creek Folk Festival, presented by the Townsville Folk & Acoustic Music Club Inc., is now in its 25th year. The festival is a non-profit event run by a dedicated team of volunteers. If you would like to be a part of this team, please put your name down at the Festival Shop. Our Kids Festival is very much a part of Palm Creek Folk Festival. We would encourage parents of children participating in the Kids Festival to put time aside over the weekend to assist with the many

and varied activities on offer. If you are able to help, just call over to the Kids Festival tents, and we are sure you will be welcomed with open arms!

About the Folk ClubThe Townsville Folk & Acoustic Music Club Inc. meets every second Thursday at the home of Folk, the Bellevue Hotel in South Townsville. New performers are always welcome.

Dive into a world of colour in a kaleidoscope with a twist or make a lantern jar for the kids parade. There are also performances in the Play Box Theatre and a chance to hang out with Jodi the Turtle. If you’ve still got some jelly beans left hop into one of the circus workshops.

The Electronic StompThe Stomp Box kicks off the festival with The Electronic Stomp. For 3 hours we’ll have some of the finest beats pumping. Miorc will ease us into the night with his mellow beats crafted from heavily processed samples and sonic manipulation. Faux Mo are an absurdist synth pop duo with booming hip hop beats, zippy electronics and a splash of acoustics. And to finish the night Coffins will remix your favourites and have you up dancing until your feet hurt…and still have you dancing some more! FRI 7:30pm

A Clockwork LuminescenceCircus Alabanza presents A Clockwork Luminescence, a demonstration of fire and acrobatics that will rotate gears and mechanise your imagination. Using fire to illuminate, our performers will weave light into the very fabric of time, revealing the true nature of the machine that is circus. FRI 8:30pm.

LED Glow with Alabanza CircusJoin the crew from Alabanza Circus as they play with all things that glow. They also have a stall selling LED Poi, glow sticks and a bunch of other groovy stuff. FRI/SAT 8:00pm.

Glow Graffiti Head down to the back of The Meadow on Friday and Saturday night and try your hand at graffiti on our 10 metre graffiti wall. Using glow paints and black lights this year’s mural will be our best yet! FRI 8:30pm SAT 7:15pm.

Cajam Circus PerformanceShowcasing local young circus performers, Cajam will incorporate amazing aerials, acrobatics and juggling to bring you their first ever Palm Creek show. SAT 1:45pm.

Star Weaving JamHelp us reach our goal of making 10,000 stars for the ‘One Million Stars To End Violence’ project. One Million Stars to End Violence is a love and peace filled community project. These beautiful stars are symbols of light, courage and solidarity to end all forms of violence, including violence against women, bullying and racism. The short term goal is to weave one million stars and to display them at the Commonwealth Games on the Gold Coast in 2018. The long term goal is to be light and courage for each other and not act violently with our words and actions, but with passion and generosity. SAT/SUN 1:00PM

Lantern Making With the festival theme being ‘Light It Up’ we will be making paper lanterns to decorate The Stomp Box and will light them up each night. SAT/SUN 1:00PM

Shadow Puppet MakingShadow puppets are just the thing for a festival with the theme ‘Light It Up’ so come on down to the Youth Workshop Space and make a shadow puppet then join us on Sunday night to play with light and shadow and have fun with your puppets. SAT/SUN 1:00PM

Fence WeavingWe’ve got a fence that needs weaving! Using wire, beads, material, buttons and of course fairy lights our fence will be a work in progress over the weekend. Come on down to the Youth Workshop Space and be a part of a communal artwork. SAT/SUN 1:00PM

Zine WorkshopCut up old magazines, draw or paint something, take a photo and print it out, write a poem or story, actually we don’t care what you come up with but make sure to come down to the Youth Workshop Space and help us create the first ever Palm Creek Zine.SAT/SUN 1:00PM
