MCT (Minimal Context Thread system)
WCOS (Web Cache Object Storage)
The JAGUAR's innovative kernel engine is based on MCT, which creates a thread system that performs like a well-crafted
asynchronous system enabling faster context switching and scheduling. MCT is already capable of handling a million sessions
efficiently leading to significant improvements in performance. In addition, MCT speeds up processing by creating only one
thread for the one CPU core, and guarantees improved scalable performance for a number of CPU cores.
JAGUAR has an exclusive file system especially designed for web caching. It can solve disk bottlenecks by allowing parallel disk
access and parallel processing. This file system improves the performance of the data and maximizes the RAM usage. In addition,
it improves the transaction time of Disk IO / Memory IO by accelerating the throughput processing of web requests.
A single JAGUAR 5000 is able to generate more than 1Gbps throughput
Note1. The test results were achieved using channel bonding of 2 LAN Cards.
2. The JAGUAR 5000 and its 32GB memory operated without any degradation in performance even under heavy traffic
scenarios incurred by the delivery of large multimedia files with large effective datasets.

64-bit Engine/72GB MemoryThe JAGUAR 5000 supports a 64-bit operating kernel, which can utilize up to 72GB of memory.
The larger the memory, the more objects can be cached. This leads to improved throughput and
dramatically reduces response time. This high capacity directly affects the disk capacity for cache
servers. As a result, a relatively small number of JAGUAR 5000 servers can replace a larger number
of web server clusters.
Connection ManagementThe JAGUAR product has a highly effective connection management system due to its superior
specifications and the MCT technology. The JAGUAR uses the persistent connection of the HTTP 1.1
to both clients and original servers. Connections with original servers are minimized and efficiently
utilized resulting in optimal workload of the original web server.
Capacity
Terabytes DiskAs data centers grow and the traffic of large scale portals and shopping malls increase, large
caching storage will be required. In addition, the popularity of multimedia sites creates additional
performance latencies and bottlenecking due to the large multimedia files being accessed and
transferred. The JAGUAR 5000 solves these problems by utilizing WCOS technology and allowing
multimedia content to be processed and cached efficiently in terabyte disks.
A Million of Concurrent ConnectionsThe JAGUAR 5000 can support sudden surges of over a million concurrent connections caused by
extraordinary events. At the same time the JAGUAR 5000 can protect web servers from SYN attack/
denial of service (DoS) by acting as a large buffer.

Web Object ManagementObject splitting - In the event of un-cached content being requested simultaneously by users, the
JAGUAR builds based on the requested service with only partially cached objects.
This provides stable service and prevents long delays.
Various Rules for Refreshing Object - The JAGUAR provides the ability to configure object refresh
time, TTL, for requested contents. To avoid over loading a server from frequent validation checks,
the JAGUAR is able to configure longer periods in the event the object does not change after
validation check. In addition, it supports wild cards and regular expressions.
Web Cache ConfigurationConfiguring Cache Parameters - The JAGUAR optimizes the caching performance by properly
adjusting the cache parameters such as max header size, average object size, max stored object
number, and max client sessions.
Virtual Reverse Host - This feature provides the list of reverse hosts by classifying user requests.
Classification can be done by using the hostname of the HTTP request and can also be done by using
the IP address and port number of the JAGUAR 5000. Within the list of the reverse hosts, various
load balancing mechanisms, such as round-robin, URL-hash, directory, etc., are supported.
Caching Policy - Some contents can be configured to cache by matching specific conditions of the
origin server. By filtering headers and cookie headers of dedicated URL patterns, modification of the
site can be reduced.
Reverse Cache
Extended AccelerationMulti-media Acceleration (FLV Acceleration) - The JAGUAR 5000 large capacity and architecture
helps accelerate the service levels of multimedia content providers such as UCC. The JAGUAR also
creates improved efficiencies for FLV (flash video) on HTTP.
Security Traffic Acceleration (SSL Acceleration) - Secure web content on HTTPS cannot be
cached in conventional manners. Content must be encrypted and requires SSL acceleration.
The JAGUAR 5000 supports safe and rapid content caching on HTTPS. This product is tailored
towards high security content providers such as financial institutions who provide web solutions to
their end customers.
The chart below shows the actual results obtained by an online shopping mall network using reverse cache.
The increased response time from 3 seconds to 2 seconds were achieved by the customers. The end users quality of service is
much more stable regardless of time of day and the number of online users.
