JADE™ is a full-featured easy-to-use software tool designed to support a wide range of custom data display applications.

ARCHITECTURE

JADE™ is designed using an extensible architecture that allows it to be easily adapted to almost any end-product application. Simply provide adaptors for the Data Management Interfaces for JADE to interface with the end-product parameter information (SQL, CSV, etc.) Additional interfaces are provided to allow further customization of JADE such as custom widgets and custom drawing file storage. JADE is a 100% Java implementation, and capable of running on multiple platforms where a Java Virtual Machine (JVM) for Java versions 1.6 and above is available. This includes:

• Windows 7, Windows 10

• Linux distributions

• Oracle Solaris

OPERATION

• JADE™ displays utilize a powerful dynamic display capability and are developed using an intuitive editing environment. Using the display editor, complex drawings can be quickly created and coupled with dynamic attributes which include; Color, Visibility, Fill, Rotation, Movement. These displays are then bound to data sources in the JADE display environment and saved as JADE drawings. In real time:

• JADE displays dynamically update with live data illustrating system status and/or configuration

• A replay bar allows data to be scrolled backwards/forwards without interruption of real-time data buffering.

• Multiple data plots and text displays can be created/modified to meet dynamically changing display requirements.

• A special feature of JADE is the ability to place information from multiple data sources on common displays. For instance, JADE allows displaying redundant data stream parameters on the same display or a single separate display containing data from multiple sources.

DISPLAY WIDGETS

JADE™ provides the ability to design custom displays representing complex schematic representations of vehicle and/or test system infrastructure.

• Dynamic updates with live data illustrating system status and/or configuration

• Bind a data value to a dynamic (e.g. a tank volume fills based upon an appropriate data value)

• Bind the status of a parameter to view color/visibility dynamics

• Typical status colors include critical, warning, stale, and nominal

For example, a JADE view may be created with an object representing a battery which contains background color dynamic. If the temperature of that battery was in an alarm condition then the background color dynamic can be changed to red.

JADE also allows a user to bind the status visibility to a JADE view objects dynamics. (I.e. An object in JADE can be made invisible whenever the data is stale.

Graph and chart objects (i.e. Time Graph, Strip chart, XY Plot) are capable of displaying and/or providing the individual data values being rendered. A Bubble-Info feature enables users to display the individual data values in a graph or chart.

• Displays a pop-up window displaying data values and timestamps for a specific location within the plotted data

• Mouse and/or mouse-wheel adjustments determine the location to display the data values

• Plot lines within the graph or chart are annotated to show which position is being displayed

PLOTS

JADE™ provides an extensive graphical plotting capability that allows the user to define plot pages, which can be used immediately for real-time display or saved for later recall. These pages are stored as uniquely named ASCII files.

• Plots can be edited during real-time operations, including replacing variables, colors and other display characteristics

• Users can define unique scaling for each plot within a page or can select auto-scaling so that each plot dynamically scales to fit the provided data
