We’re starting 2010 Rancheria Style® by giving away a ton of cash, terrific Tailgate Gift Packs, plenty of Pepsi, plus the Ultimate Fully Loaded Tailgate F150 Truck! You have to see this truck to believe it! Someone will win it on Big Game day!

As always, we make it easy for you to enter. Just play with your Dreamcatcher’s Club® card from Monday, January 4 through 5 p.m. on Saturday, February 6. You’ll receive one entry for every 100 points earned.

And because we like to do things BIG, you’ll earn TRIPLE entries every Tuesday and Thursday during the promotion period.

The Cash drawings will be held on Saturday, February 6 from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. Must be present to win. Prizes range from $4,400 to $10,000.

Plus, watch for our hosts dressed as referees handing out four-packs of Pepsi or Diet Pepsi (while supplies last). Just be playing with your Dreamcatcher’s Club® card and they may give you one.

There’s more! In between the drawings from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. we will also have four hot seat drawings for Tailgate Gift Packs valued up to $800.

And there’s even more! The drawing for the truck will be held on Sunday, February 7 between 11 a.m. and noon.

Check this out. The truck is a fully loaded 2010 Ford F150 with a removable tailgating system that includes a 42” flat screen LCD TV, Moto-sat finding satellite system, DVD player, satellite receiver, fiberglass keg well, tables, chairs, microwave/coffee maker combo, 200 watt

Honda generator, water taps, pop-up tents, and even a BBQ grill. Bring on the food and drinks and you’re ready for the ultimate tailgate party.

All entries for both the cash and truck drawings must be activated at least two hours prior to drawings by using your Dreamcatcher’s Club® card anywhere at Jackson Rancheria, including in any active slot machine, being clocked in at the Table Games area, swiping your card at any kiosk and logging in, at the Gift Shops, Restaurants, and Gas Station. Once activated, your entries are eligible for the drawing. Only activated entries are valid.

Winners have ten minutes to claim prizes. If a winner fails to claim a prize, the prize will be forfeit and another name will be drawn.

To Our Dear Loyal Guests,

Last year was a tough one for everyone, let’s put it behind us. I have exciting news to share with you about the coming months.

First, as our way of saying “Thank You” for playing with us we have resolved that this one time only, no player’s Dreamcatcher’s Club tier will go down. If you have played enough to earn a higher level tier, you will achieve that tier. But if you haven’t been able to move up, or even maintain your current level, you will continue at your present level through the current qualifying period that ends June 30. This gives you another six months to enjoy all the benefits and rewards of your current tier.

In other news, we look forward to finally opening some of the areas that have been closed for renovation and generally creating a property that is comfortable, convenient, and of course, fun.

When we are able to move the games out of the Eagle’s Nest in the Casino, Lone Wolf’s Steakhouse will relocate to that area. We know you’ve missed the fine cuisine, great local wines and excellent service Lone Wolf’s was known for and we’re looking forward to bringing that back along with some great new ideas our chefs have for it.

And two of our long term goals may finally come to fruition, that of a true non-smoking area and the return of Bingo. We’ve heard your repeated requests and I think we have finally found a way to incorporate Bingo back into our gaming mix.

Initial plans call for converting Dalton Town Hall into a total non-smoking casino. When completed, that area can include Slots,

Table Games, Poker and, yes, Bingo. Although details are not definite yet, we’re looking at a very traditional paper-only Bingo program.

As you know, Bingo was the seed from which Jackson Rancheria grew into the complex it is today. We’ve had those seeds in storage waiting for the right time to sow them once again and that time is coming soon.

While other casinos are reducing their amenities and offering fewer choices, we prefer doing what’s best for our guests and giving you more value for your play. That’s what we all mean when we say… “Rancheria Style®.”

Cordially,

Rich HoffmanCEO, Jackson Rancheria

An unparalleled interpreter of Americana music since long before that genre even had a name, Maria Muldaur has spent over four decades unleashing her soulful vocals on a dizzying range of songs. From her early days in the Jim Kweskin Jug Band through her deep explorations of New Orleans jazz, Western swing, gospel, country blues and more, Maria’s sultry vocals have brought back into the spotlight some of the finest roots, blues, jazz and gospel music around. The Special Consensus Bluegrass BandSutter Creek TheaterSaturday, January 30 - 8 p.m.Special Consensus is a superb bluegrass outfit in a classic vein but with more than enough modern sensibilities to attract every ear in this now pleasantly fractionating genre. The vocals are spotless, the playing as shiny as a newly minted penny, and music like this is the reason people come to love bluegrass. Special Consensus approaches this hallowed American musical form with boundless energy and an aesthetic reverence that tickles the ribs, tugs at the heart, and puts a restless two-step in boots and bare feet. Tickets are $18 in advance, $20 at the door. For tickets and more information visit suttercreektheater.com.

Mary YoungbloodBret Harte Theatre, Angels CampSaturday, February 6, 3 p.m.When two-time Grammy Award winner Mary Youngblood performs, it takes only a moment to acknowledge the profound spirituality of the sacred Native American flute, its historical

courtship and wooing attributes. Her haunting music is much more than a song, it’s liquid poetry, a prayer. Both softness and strength come through in her deeply passionate music inspired by the wonders of nature. With rich vibrato and notes that melt into your heart, Mary Youngblood takes the artistry of Native American flute music to its highest level. Tickets are $25 for adults, $10 for students under 18, and are available at highsierratickets.com

AAUW Home TourTown of VolcanoSaturday, April 17The Amador branch of American Association of University of Women (AAUW) will hold their 2010 Home Tour in Volcano, a tiny town steeped in gold rush era history. The tour will feature four homes and several historic sites. Two of the homes as well as the historic buildings date back to the mid-eighteen hundreds. A 1930’s era home, and an energy efficient (off the grid), straw bale house top off the home selections. Costumed members of the Volcano Theater Co. will serve as docents at the Cobblestone Theatre and the Volcano Amphitheatre. The garden setting of the St. George Hotel is slated for the Art Show. Tickets go on sale March 13 and are $22 in advance and $25 on Tour Day. Proceeds benefit scholarships for girls and women. Restaurants in Volcano and the surrounding area will offer discount brunches/lunches to ticket holders. For more information call Lani at 209-245-6052 or email [email protected].

Fortunate is the man who is passionate about his work, and fortunate are we to have two people in charge of our Food & Beverage department who are passionate about bringing quality food and service to you. And they’re having fun doing it.

Director of Food & Beverage Matthew Broucaret and Executive Chef Ed Wickman are the ones responsible for the changes you’ve already seen in our dining options.

Where else can you get all-you-can-eat lobster and crab legs for just $25 or a $6 breakfast buffet where we make the omelets fresh and actually poach the eggs for Eggs Benedict?

And they are the ones to thank for the return of the original, amazing, juicy, messy, yummy Uncle Bud’s burger.

They have a very simple philosophy. They listen to you, our guests, your complaints, compliments and suggestions. They read the comment cards. And they respond.

They are looking forward to reopening Lone Wolf’s restaurant some time this year with fresh and exciting concepts and renovating Pho Bac to make it even more comfortable and convenient.

So who are these two men, who are so determined to provide you with great dining values?

Matthew credits an Italian grandmother with his love of cooking. The family story is that she would make crepes every morning and that by the time he was five years old Matt could cook the batter and be a good assistant to her.

When he graduated from high school she showed him an article that said San Francisco had the best culinary school (the California Culinary Academy) in the nation, but his father insisted on college first. So he got a business degree at Long Beach State before finally pursuing his real vocation at culinary school.

After school he worked in San

Francisco and New York. “My mom always said no California kid can survive in New York,” he recalls. When he realized she was right, he and his wife moved to Napa Valley for four years where food and wine pairing became one of his passions. “But you can’t buy a house in Napa,” he notes. “You’ll be renters for life.”

He wanted a better quality of life for his family, somewhere that wasn’t so developed, some place to settle down and raise a family. He was Chef at an Auburn country club for awhile, but was still searching for that sense of community and home. He finally found it in Amador County.

Matt joined Jackson Rancheria in March of last year as Food & Beverage Manager and quickly became Director.

He was joined in June by our new Executive Chef Ed.

Ed graduated from Johnson & Wales University in Rhode Island and began a 20 year career as a Chef, including stints as Executive Chef at properties as diverse as the world headquarters of Merrill Lynch and other Indian casinos.

It was at Merrill Lynch that he encountered perhaps his greatest

Dobra Zemlja is pronounced dobra zem-ya and means good earth in Croatian. It’s a small family winery that not only take good care of the good earth but also produces hearty Amador wines.

Operated by Milan and Victoria Matulich, the winery produces classically big, rich Amador County wines. A long, winding road leads to its secluded old homestead, where visitors can picnic, savor the winery’s robust Estate Zinfandel, Syrah, Sangiovese and Viognier, or just listen to the birds.

The winery and tasting room are housed in a restored late-19th century barn, complete with wine cave. The cave provides a perfect environment for storing wine barrels and tasting wines.

At Dobra Zemlja they believe wine is a part of everyday life, not just special occasions.

“We make wines to celebrate life, leisure and food. Enjoy it on lazy summer days, cozy winter nights, holidays, and gatherings with friends. Remember, wine is not just a breakfast drink! We believe that wine should be fun, so we avoid winish hyperbole. Your taste is the final judge of our wines and we strive to live up to that standard and not the standards of the ‘experts.’ In keeping with our Gold Rush heritage, we make NO LIGHTWEIGHTS!”

They are so confident of their wines that they offer a “No Alibi” pledge -

“When asked what was needed to make a great wine,

Baron Philippe Rothschild said, ‘The grape, the climate, the earth, the winemaker and God.’ Here we grow the noble grapes and the soil and climate make Amador County an extraordinary viticulture region. At Dobra Zemlja, the winemaker respects and minimally intrudes on Nature’s handiwork - and we don’t make excuses for God. Therefore, if you are not completely satisfied with a bottle of Dobra Zemlja, please return it for our vinegar barrel. We will replace it or refund your money. If you are still not pleased, we will refer you to several of our fine winery neighbors. We shall do this with a smile, because food without a bottle of AMADOR is a terrible way to dine.”

The tasting room and picnic grounds are located at 12505 Steiner road in Plymouth and are open daily from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
