    Descriptive Essay

    One Bad Mistake

One morning I woke up, and realize that I was not at home. I didnt exactly know

where I was at the moment, but what I did know was that its cold, damp, dark, and

smells like someone or something has vomited all over the place. I then slowly leaned up,

and gradually let my legs slide over the side of the bed, letting my feet gently touch the

floor. I then come to find that there is something wet, slimy, and smells a lot like urine.

Then at that very moment, I quickly move my feet back upon to the top of the

bed, in fear of not knowing exactly what I have just stepped in. All of the sudden, the

lights turn on by themselves, and I heard a small voice in the back ground saying, Your

tray is here. As the voice got louder and louder, it then seamed like the person was

getting closer and closer to were I was. When the voice seamed like it was two steps

away, I could then hear opening and slamming of the steal doors, and people screaming

and yelling the words, Get me out of here.

At that very moment, I started looking around the room to get some kind of clue

to were I was. The first thing I saw was, a small toilet that was put into the farthest

corner away from the door, and attached to it was a small steal sink that had peoples

names scratched on it like it was done on purpose.

On top of the sink was a bar of soap, which had a small rope tied to the end with a

noose on the other side of the rope. The bar of soap was stuck to the sink, and looked

like it had old slimy mold growing on it almost like it has been there for years. I then

turned my head, and glanced towards the door, and noticed that there was a small tablethat was bolted to the floor. On the table was an old stack of magazines that looked

practically brand new. At the moment that I was going to stand up, I then suddenly

remembered that I stepped into something earlier.

I then gradually leaned over the side of the bed, and glanced down to find a

puddle, that looked like it had vomit, urine, and some type of small black hair in it. My

stomach then started to flip and turn. Then all of the sudden I heard, Bang, Bang, Bang

on the steal door. That made me jump, and my heart dropped to the floor. Then the

voice was back, and it was a males voice that said.

Here it is, eat up. Then I looked down to the center of the steal door, where a

gray tray of food was being shoved in my face, through a small opening. As I grabbed the

tray from the guy with the voice, I then quickly glanced up to see who he was, but all I

could see was his bright blue sapphire eyes. He then glared back, and yelled as loud as

he could. You have ten minutes.

I quickly turned around, and sat down at the table, but right before I started to eat.

I glanced down, and saw some burnt toast, crisp burnt bacon that would fall apart when I

picked it up, and a bowl of oatmeal that had raisons in it, so you thought, until I realizedthat the raisons were actually moving.

As I then started to fill squeamish like I was going to vomit, I then decided that I

was not going to eat. Then I suddenly heard the center of the door open again, and the

man with the voice yelling back at me. While he was shoving these clothes in my face,

telling me that I had five minutes to get dressed.

Then at that moment I turned around, and started opening the clothes to put them

on, while unfolding the clothes these two flip flops fell out onto the ground, and I then

realized that they were twice my size, when I looked at them. I then turned the black and

white stripped clothes around, and started reading the letters from the back of them that

    said, Gillespie County Jail

I dropped to my knees with tears rolling down my face, which was dripping into

the puddle of vomit that was right below me, but I did not care at that point because all I

could think about was, how my parents were going to kill me, when they found out that I

have been taken to jail. Finally when I pulled myself back together I stood up, and

walked back over to the bed to set down.

Suddenly, I heard the cricking of the steal door open. When I glanced up, I saw the man

with the voice standing in front of me; he had a name badge that read Officer Sanchez. He then looked down at me and said. You have one phone call; make sure its a good

    one.

I then stood up, and he started shoving me out the door, and down the hall toward

the phone. While I was walking, I glanced over and saw another person in the cell across

from me stabbing someone else with something sharp. At that moment officers were

running down the hall, and shoving people out of the way to get into the room were all of

this was going down to try and break them up. The next thing I know is that I was being

shoved to the phone, and someone was yelling in my ear, telling me that I had two

minutes. I then picked up the receiver end of the phone, and started dialing.

As my heart started beating faster, I waited for someone to answer, but then I

heard I dad pick up, and say. Im sorry; I cant get to the phone right now. My heart

dropped to the floor, but before I could hang up the phone, I felt someone grab my arm,

and started dragging me back to my cell. When I got to the cell, I set down on the bed,

and started thinking about what was supposed to be a good night, ended up being on bad

    mistake.
