WORK EXPERIENCE

Lead, IP NOC Engineer for Mobinil ISP Network (rebrand to Orange Network) 2014-until now

- Monitoring ISP network traffic using OSSRADAR tool and ISP network devices reachability using

Whatsup & whatupgold tools and inform other teams with network issues using communication

tool (Linksync).

- Managing the IP/MPLS backbone network for ISP network devices including routers Juniper (M7i,

M10, M40, M320) ,Juniper E-Series & M-series routers as ERX-705, ERX-710 and E-320 that are

IP terminators, IPDSLs (Alcatel), access servers (TNT) for dialup users and network extenders

devices as overture and ENE.

- Troubleshooting and resolving network problems including routing configuration problems,

physical issues including unreachable devices, down interfaces on routers ,extenders flapping

connections, Alcatel IPDSL and DSL cards problems, international provider circuits problems and

any global or internal problem related to ISP network reported by Microsoft CRM tool.

- Performing MPLS Traffic Engineering to solve congestion problems and distribute traffic normally

by controlling & configuring MPLS LSPs.

- Controlling international circuit status connected to IGWs by blocking traffic D-DOS attacks,

suppress specific networks from being reachable inside network using BGP export policies.

- Troubleshooting Martini circuits (LDP L2VPN) problems and problems that cause networks

instability.

- Check status of routers and Alcatel DSLAM and IPDSL devices before and after Maintenance

activities and performing excel sheets for maintenance activities and repeated incident cases.

- Handle network problems with other teams (field, core, enterprise technical support and consumer

support) to solve it.

IPBB Resident Engineer for ALKANCIT Networks (for Etisalat account) 2013-2014

- Solving and troubleshooting for any hardware problems or failure or alarms in core of etisalat

network (BSC, MSC, MGW and IPBB devices for ericsson as juniper M120 and M320 and Huawei

NE-40 routers, cisco and extreme switches, juniper firewalls and smart edge routers(redback) and

ZTE cabinets).

- Troubleshooting for faulty or flapping STM’s and Ethernet ports, expansion of network by add new

hardware for network, connect/disconnect STM cables between different IPBB nodes and patch

panel, changing tapes for MSC's and configure command in order to management unreachable

devices.

- Survey tasks for cables length of fiber or electrical cables and type of its connectors, perform

several tasks on LINUX servers, perform action reports for all work orders.

Field Engineer for Ericsson Field Services (for Vodafone account) 2010-2012

- Expansion and Rollout Projects:

E1 Expansion: receiving E1 (75 ohm cables) from Main Distribution Frame or BEP or ADM or

krona and connecting it with different 3G RBS cabinets after finishing its route. Second carrier

expansion for indoor cabinets like RBS 3206 and RBS 3106 and outdoor 3418 and 3518 (RRH) in

order to increase traffic in certain area through apply second frequency carrier. Rollout (installing

and configuring minilink E, 2G and 3G cabinets (Ericsson cabinets type 3000 and 6000) ).

- ADM and BEP Projects:

work included BEP, ADM ericsson , ADM alcatel installing ,configuring, surveying ,preparing and

cutover in telecom Egypt exchanges and in vodafone switches also STM-1 install and surveying in

telecom Egypt exchanges, perform risk assessment sheets and acceptance form for implemented

nodes, check all delivered materials and hardware’s in site.
