Greeting Students!

Welcome to the Joint Apprenticeship Committee (JAC) Training Program at Los Angeles Trade-Technical College. The Joint Apprenticeship Committee (JAC) Training Program is designed to provide Rail Maintenance personnel with the introductory knowledge, skills, abilities (KSA), techniques, tools and practices to perform duties related maintenance of rail vehicles.

CLASS SCHEDULE AND LOCATION (A detailed course training schedule is located within this brochure) Start Date: Monday, August 19, 2019 Days: Monday - Friday Time: 12:00pm – 8:30pm Location: LATTC Oak Hall (OH) –F-214

GENERAL COURSE REQUIREMENTS • JAC Training Program Binder (includes welcome letter, name tent, temporary parking permit, list of the

nearby restaurants, campus map, course supplies). • You are expected to wear your “Official” Metro assigned uniform when attending the class. • You are required to attend all days of the training in order to receive a certificate for this program.

Metro representative(s) will be present on the first day of training to welcome you and to answer any questions that you may have prior to the start of the courses.

PARKING Students will be provided with a temporary parking permit to display on vehicle’s dashboards. The temporary pass needs to be displayed at all times. Please refer to campus map to identify parking and classroom locations. Note that during the beginning of each semester parking maybe more challenging in the designated parking lot. However, we have several other student parking locations available, if needed as illustrated on the campus map.

LA Trade-Tech College has daily food service in both the Cafeteria and the Garden Room prepared by students and faculty in the Culinary Arts and Professional Baking programs. On Wednesdays, the Garden Room offers a different international theme served buffet style and

PARKING INFORMATION As a courtesy to our students, we DO NOT issue parking citations during the FIRST WEEK of school, unless someone is violating the disabled and staff parking restrictions. Campus parking includes the Flower Street lot (F-lot), the Olive Street parking structure and 24th street parking structure. Students may purchase a parking permit at the Business Office (cash) or at Bridges to Success Center (credit card only).
