The history…
Last year, Lochie Gould and Daniel Bastow approached Mr Cook with a plan - to organise a group of older students to help younger students:
• to reduce the level of bullying in Woolgoolga High School• to identify and resolve problems• to make stronger connections between students • to give students a better experience at school.
“We’ve been there and we know what it’s like”

How does S.M.I.L.E. work?
• Students having problems can approach the mentors who can be easily recognised by their wristbands and badges
• They can also ask Mr Cook, Amy or their Year Advisor to arrange for them to meet up with a mentor
• Meetings will only occur in school time during breaks and before school, and only once or maybe twice a week.
