a. There are various examples like Mahatma Gandhi. His Salt Satyagraha helps us to understand about his path of truth and non-violence. The 24-day march lasted from 12 March 1930 to 6 April 1930 as a direct action campaign of tax resistance and nonviolent protest against the British salt monopoly.

b. By reading Gandhiji’s famous autobiography, ‘The Story of My Experiments with Truth’, which becomes an

important source of history, we come to know about Mahatma Gandhi’s struggles and how he battled racial discrimination.

c. If one visits The Gandhi Ashram in Ahmedabad, Gujarat, which is a memorial museum, we would peep into

the world of Gandhiji where he used his ‘charkha’ or a spinning wheel – a device for spinning thread or yarn from fibres. So, “Gandhi Ashram’ too becomes an important historical site to know about the past.
