Wheelset of the Future: an Integrated System.

IWC2019 Chairmen

Welcome to the XIX International Wheelset Congress in Venice!

The theme of this edition of the conference is about considering Wheelset as anIntegrate System which means looking not only to wheels and axles, but also discussingabout the other components that interact with them.

As you can see in the following pages of the program, presentations have been clustered in sessions reflecting the eight topics of the conference. This will assure a more coherent and consistent organization and will also facilitate amore effective Q&A time at the end of each session.

The location of this edition of the Congress is the former Benedictine Monastery ofSan Giorgio Maggiore, an historically significant building complex just in front ofSt. Mark Square, now owned by the Fondazione Giorgio Cini.We recommend you have a walk through its building and gardens during your free time.

We hope you enjoy the scientific program, the networking and the meetingsduring the conference as well as the magnificent venue of this edition of IWCWe also wish you a pleasant stay in Venice, one of the most beautiful cities in the world.
