BACKGROUND.

Founded in 2000 to care for the disadvantaged of

mainly the Christian Faith under the name „Aid Inter-

national-Christian Women of Vision (AI-ChrisWOV)‟.

Changed in 2008 to Interfaith Vision Foundation Cameroon.

Why? Due to the growing demands of the stake-

holders, more so the beneficiaries group, which

was expanding in size but with diversified

Faiths, the then AI-ChrisWOV requested for

an Organisational development assessment pro-

cess which was sponsored and facilitated by

Volunteer Service Overseas (VSO) in 2007-

2008 with the participation of all the stakehold-

ers (including the beneficiaries). They made

recommendations among which was the adop-

tion of a holistic organisational strategy which

should embrace all faiths, serve all people satis-

factorily and fully spell out the interfaith goal of

the vision-bearer.

Therefore, in January 2008, IVFCam came into

being, replacing AI-ChrisWoV and promoting

interfaith rather than single-faith strategy. Due

to this change, IVFCam legally registered as

an independent association.
