best fuel consumption record in 1993
and won the “MidiEuroTest” on two
separate occasions. It has also been
voted “Fleet Truck of the Year” and

modern cab enhances the image
of the owners of New Eurocargo.
The new styling is non-aggressive,
aerodynamically efficient and will
keep its looks over time due to the
zinc treated steel panels.

The new front panel, with grab
handles is resistant to stone damage
due to the innovative use of Sheet
Moulded Compound.
The smooth lines are complemented
by the new front corner air deflectors
which are designed to reduce spray
soiling of door handles and windows.

The interior of both the sleeper and
the day cab of New Eurocargo feature
a pleasant combination of “soft-touch”
materials, enhanced ergonomics and
the new washable seat trim.
The relocated switches and controls
are easily accessible and the new
circular heating and ventilation
system controls provide more
precise regulation of the cab
environment.

The ADR compliant sleeper cabs have
a deep mattress with large storage
compartments underneath.
The new sleeper cab with its
optional medium roof completely
changes the internal environment
into an open living space without
any partitions. There are almost two
meters of standing headroom.
In the area above the bunk, there
are auxiliary lights and in the back,
roomy storage pockets. There are
also large closed storage areas over
the windscreen.

Designed to be relaxing and safe for
the driver, the interior of the New
Eurocargo offers excellent cross cab
access and an exclusive look: the
modern dashboard has many details
highlighted in an attractive aluminium
effect.
The “soft touch”, easy to hold,
steering wheel is adjustable for
height and reach. The steering
column controls are conveniently
placed (direction indicators, lights,
horn, windscreen washers and
cruise control).
The new instrument cluster is
designed to be easily read and
understood. With the monochromatic
LCD (liquid crystal display) the
driver can access information
contained on the trip computer and
on the check controls, providing
safe, relaxed driving and efficient
management of the vehicle.

More stylish, quiet and spacious
than ever, the New Eurocargo cab
optimises the workspace for the
driver. Eurocargo has large storage
compartments above the windscreen
and on the fascia in front of the
passenger seat. There are new
storage pockets on the rear panel of
the day cab.
Beside and underneath the seats
there are new storage drawers and
compartments. There is also a 12
Volt supply available as standard on
centre console.
The centre seat has a tiltable back
allowing it to be used by the driver
as a work table, plus a paperholder.
The bottle holders are integrated
into the door pockets.
The high capacity air circulation
system helps the driver maintain
optimum in-cab temperature for
maximum comfort.
A version with two steps is also available.

designed with the driver and the
application of the truck in mind.
The range of cabs is designed to
meet the needs of a wide range of
vocational and fleet requirements.
Day, sleeper and sleeper with
medium roof (opt), cover a wide
range of applications.
The cab is easy to access, with either
one or two wide steps clad in a “non
slip”, “stay clean” plastic material.
When the doors are opened,
auxiliary lights illuminate the steps
and the area around them.

stroNg chassis,bodybuildiNg flexibility
Eurocargo has been designed for
all types of bodywork. This is due
to a robust high tensile steel
chassis, which is free of protrusions
above the frame and is therefore
bodybuilder friendly.
Additionally body mounting brackets
come as standard.
It has electrical and electronic pre-
equipment packages to connect
equipment and remote controls to
the truck, facilitating bodybuilder’s
installations.
Eurocargo offers a complete range
of wheelbases from 4815 to 6570
mm. There is also a wide range of
suspensions: parabolic, multi-leaf,
rear pneumatic or full pneumatic
suspension integrated with the
ECAS (electronically controlled air
suspension depending on the model).
Rear axle ratios have been designed
to optimize performance and
fuel consumption whatever the
application.

The architecture and performance
of the Tector engine is the key
to the New Eurocargo as it
delivers performance, productivity,
driveability and maintains respect for
the environment.
All Tector engines feature high
pressure common rail fuel injection.

Fully compliant to ADR80, the
architecture of the Tector engine
family also anticipates the move to
Euro 4 in 2006.

Eurocargo has been designed for
maximum operational safety.
The cab is structurally robust and is
galvanised for corrosion protection.
The robustness of the cab has been
increased by reinforcing the upper
part of the cab and also by the
introduction of a new bonded
windscreen.
Disc brakes, large windscreen and
window areas, together with
excellent steering characteristics
all contribute to primary safety.
The active safety features include
ABS as standard and a triple
activation engine brake, which can
be actuated by the brake pedal, the
exhaust brake pedal or, by releasing
the accelerator.
The complete range of models now
feature disc brakes all round and
also feature the new front under-run
protection.
