Ivan Ayvazovsky was born on July, 29th, 1817 in Feodosiya. The first years of the biography of Ayvazovsky have passed in poverty as a result of ruin of the father. But everything, to it was possible to arrive in a grammar school of Simferopol. The hobby for painting has resulted it in walls of Academy of arts of Petersburg in which he studied at recognised masters. After the termination of Academy travelled across Europe much. In 1847 in the biography Ivan Ayvazovsky became the professor of art Academy of Petersburg.

AYVAZOVSKY IN SEA LANDSCAPES WAS MOST SUCCESSFUL. SINCE 1844 IT WAS THE ARTIST OF A SEA STAFF. OWN SCHOOL OF ARTS HAS BEEN OPENED. THE FAMOUS PICTURES - "HIGHEST WAVE", "BLACK SEA".

However Ayvazovsky wrote cloths not only on sea subjects. Among its other series of pictures: the Caucasian, Ukrainian landscapes, the Armenian history, the Crimean war.

In the biography of artist Ayvazovsky always there was time for socially useful actions. Ivan Konstantinovich actively helped development of a native city – Feodosiya. Has constructed there an antiquity museum, has based an art gallery, promoted a lining of a railway way to Jankoi.

Once at late night, during a dream, the sudden death has torn off Ayvazovsky's life. Not finished picture «ship Explosion» and remained on an easel in an art studio which house in Feodosiya is transformed into a museum.

For the biography Ivan Ayvazovsky has created about 6000 works.
