The draft structure plan covers land between the Hastings River to the north, the Oxley Highway to the south, the Pacific Highway to the east and rural land off Rawdon Island Road to the west. It also includes land to the south-west of the Oxley/Pacific Highways intersection. The draft plan is a long-term framework to guide planning and development in Sancrox over the next 20plus years. It provides a level of overall co-ordination for future development, particularly in relation to land use, environmental management and service infrastructure. Once finalised, the structure plan will guide decision-making on rezoning and development in the area. The purpose of this public exhibition is to ensure that landowners, members of the community and other interested parties can have input into development of the final structure plan. Prior to preparing the final plan, Council will consider all submissions made during the public exhibition period. Community drop-in sessions During the exhibition, two community drop-in sessions will be held in the Rural Fire Service shed at No 164 Bushlands Drive, Sancrox. The sessions will focus on two areas of Sancrox, being the eastern area (Area A) and the central and western areas (Area B). Map details are available on Council’s website. DRAFT GREATER SANCROX AREA STRUCTURE PLAN At its meeting on 20 August 2014, Council resolved to place a draft structure plan for the Greater Sancrox Area (Sancrox) on publicexhibitionforsixweeks.

The draft structure plan covers land between the Hastings River tothenorth,theOxleyHighwaytothesouth,thePacificHighwaytotheeastandrurallandoffRawdonIslandRoadtothewest.Italsoincludeslandtothesouth-westoftheOxley/PacificHighways intersection.

Thedraftplanisalong-termframeworktoguideplanninganddevelopmentinSancroxoverthenext20plusyears.Itprovidesalevelofoverallco-ordinationforfuturedevelopment,particularly in relation to land use, environmental management and service infrastructure.
