owners Mr. Roar Pedersen and Mr. Einar Nyvoll, with the vision of assisting clients with the

What is IBO®? IBO® provides a cost-effective utilization of existing satellite communication.

separated by a firewall, and the fastest communication carrier available is always selected

automatically.

Typical deployment of the IBO® Standard is at the perimeter, where it will sit as a fully featured firewall and router. IBO® Virtual deployment on the other hand, is typically as a stand-alone appliance on one of the ships LAN networks, alongside the ships servers and storage appliances. Capabilities:

Proprietary network appliance, with full router functionality.

Multiple satellite and broadband connections, with failover capability, giving

increased performance and redundancy. IBO® automatically selects the fastest

available connection.

Provider independent. Compatible with any kind of satellite communication, such as VSAT, Inmarsat, Iridium, and so forth. It is also compatible with all kinds of shore-based wireless communications, such as GSM and GPRS.

Uses a highly efficient web caching to greatly improve the web experience on board, giving up to 300 % gain in network speed when browsing the web.

Fully manageable, allowing local IT staff to block or allow content at will. This ensures that the ship’s onboard IT regulations are enforced, and that unwanted usage such as file sharing is blocked out.

The IBO® is able to serve several separate networks, such as crew-network,

IBO® uses QoS (Quality of Service) to achieve traffic shaping and bandwidth

IBO provides an easily manageable Web Content Filter. Flash content and advertisements can be removed, reducing bandwidth load.

No hub on shore is required, and thus, no administration from shore is required. This results in a much simpler and cheaper system than competing systems, which requires an on-shore hub.

Management:

Administration of IBO® is easily done through an easy-to-use web console. Anyone onboard can use this console, without any IT training. The console is also made to fit mobile devices such as iPad’s, in order to enhance user friendliness. Initial configuration before delivery is performed by Aalesund Data AS, or its partners, in accordance with the client requests.






Captive Portal (IBO® PAID ACCESS): IBO® is now by default delivered with a very useful Captive Portal, or Paid Access module as

we also call it. This feature adds a Captive Portal hotspot to the IBO, giving fingertip control

of Internet and bandwidth usage to administrators. This is very useful for both company

management and the ships officers/ships management.

The captive portal presents a web page to each user, which requires the user to enter a valid

user ID and password before getting access to the Internet. This login information is issued

on so-called tickets. Tickets can be printed at the crew’s office, and access can for example

be granted for one week at a time.

The captive portal supports both PC-based use and mobile units, i.e. mobile phones and

tablets.

I4GO+ DS (Dual SIM:

o Similar to the standard I4GO/I4GO+, but with dual-SIM capabilities.

use of custom code.

IBO® LITE:

o Our smallest model, sold for a very low price. This unit provides

primarily automatic failover capability between two Internet

connections, prioritizing the fastest connection. In addition, a simple

firewall is provided.

iTrust 4G Optimizer + I4GO+ is our all-in-one 4G/LTe antenna array for maritime use, replacing the older I4GO units. LTE-technology (3G and 4G) is very volatile, and progress and innovation moves very fast. In order to provide the latest and best technology, the I4GO+ was developed. The I4GO+ maritime broadband unit gives ADSL equivalent broadband speeds up to 20 miles offshore using unique patented aerial technology.






Inside the I4GO+ antennae radome are powerful antennae that boost reception and lock on to shore based 4G network masts providing an internet connection from your ship to shore. The unit provides a signal boost 10 times that of a USB dongle, and 5 times better than the best 4G routers. I4GO+ is capable of supporting VoIP telephony and camera surveillance. Utilizing 2G, 3G and 4G networks via an integrated data SIM, the unit creates a WiFi hotspot instantly and can also be accessed wired. I4GO+ is well suited for both commercial vessels, as well as private leisure vessels such as yachts. I4GO+ is NOT a GSM/4G femto-cell (amplifier and/or repeater), and as such, it is not covered by any regulations covering GSM/radio transmission.

What’s included

The unit comes with waterproof 8 meters dual antenna cable with moulded connectors, a

surface mount router enclosure, power supply (12V), and mounting brackets for poles.

Optionally, a 20 meter low loss cable can be supplied for extending the distance for

mounting the antennae.

The units are suitable for both commercial ships as wells as pleasure crafts. We can also

recommend combining the units with our proprietary IBO® bandwidth optimizers, for best

effect. The I4GO+ can then for example be used as PRIMARY carrier on the IBO®, and

VSAT satellite communication as the SECONDARY carrier.






I4GO+ vehicle and building mount:

The I4GO+ can now also be optionally supplied with a low-profile vehicle mount antennae,

which is suitable for use on vehicles such as trucks, buses, vans, and other utility vehicles.

This greatly expands the field of application of the I4GO+, since the I4GO+ is well suited also

for land-based applications.

Of course, fixed land installations can also draw benefit of an I4GO+ installation. For

example, remote manned installations that need a quick and easy way to deploy an Internet

connection.
