The posts of Lecturer /Assistant Professors/ Associate Professor /Professor posts in
different Departments of Schools of this University are to be filled up for Academic year
2020-2021.
The desirous candidates should note following points:
Important Points:
(i) The last date for submission of online application is fixed as 20/7/2020.
(ii) Candidates applying online for the post of Lecturer /Assistant Professors/
Associate Professor /Professor must fulfil the stipulated eligibility criteria as
specified in UGC Regulations vide Notification F.1-2/2017 (EC/PS) dated 18th
July, 2018 and AICTE Notification No. 37-3/legal/2010 dated 5/3/2010/AICTE
Notification No. 82 dated 1/3/2019 CoA Regulation No.CA/28/2017/MS dated
17/11/2017 and amendments therein if any.
(iii) The candidate shall be required to fulfill minimum educational qualifications
and experience for the appointment of Lecturer/Assistant Professors/Associate
Professor/Professor posts in different Departments of Schools of this University
as on the last date for submission of application that is 20/7/2020.
(iv) The application fee is fixed as of Rs. 200/- that shall require to be paid through
Pay U mode. This amount shall not be accepted in cash, money order, demand
draft and postal order or through any other financial instrument except Pay U
mode. The aforesaid application fee is non-refundable and no enquiries will be
entertained in this regard by the University.
(v) The University reserves the right to postpone or not to fill up any of teaching
Posts at their discretion depending upon the requirement of the University at
that point of time as the case may be.
(vi) The decision of the competent authority shall be final.
(vii) The candidates shall be required to appear in the personal interview at his/her
own expenses.
(viii) The candidate if desirous to submit application under different post or in case
of more than one school in such cases he or she shall be required to submit
application separately along with fees.

Minimum Educational Qualifications for the Appointment of Lecturer /Assistant
Professor/Associate Professor/Professor in Different Schools
General Norms for Faculties/ Institutions Subjects that are Governed by UGC
Regulations and amendments therein:
1. A relaxation of 5% may be provided at the Graduate and Master’s level for the
Scheduled Caste / Scheduled Tribes / Differently abled (Physically and Visually
differently abled) / Other Backward Classes (OBC) (Non-Creamy layer) categories
for the purpose of eligibility and for assessing good academic records during
different recruitment to teaching positions. The eligibility marks of 55% marks (or
an equivalent grade in a point scale wherever grading system is followed) and the
relaxation of 5% to the categories mentioned above are permissible, based on only
the qualifying marks without including any grace mark procedures.
2. Consistently “Good Academic Record” would mean at least 50 % marks in
Bachelor’s degree besides at least 55% marks or an equivalent grade in a point scale
wherever grading system is followed at Master’s Level in the relevant subject.

i) Assistant Professor :
Eligibility (A or B):
A.
i) A Master’s degree with 55% marks (or an equivalent grade in a point-scale wherever
the grading system is followed) in a concerned/relevant/allied subject from an Indian
University, or an equivalent degree from an accredited foreign university.
ii) Besides fulfilling the above qualifications, the candidate must have cleared the
National Eligibility Test (NET) conducted by the UGC or the CSIR, or a similar test
accredited by the UGC, like GSET or who are or have been awarded a Ph.D. Degree
in accordance with the University Grants Commission (Minimum Standards and
Procedure for Award of M.Phil/Ph.D. Degree) Regulations, 2009 or 2016 and their
amendments from time to time as the case may be exempted from NET/GSET :
Provided, the candidates registered for the Ph.D. programme prior to July 11, 2009,
shall be governed by the provisions of the then existing Ordinances/Bye-
law/Regulations of the Institution awarding the degree and such Ph.D. candidates
shall be exempted from the requirement of NET/GSET for recruitment and
appointment of Assistant Professor or equivalent positions in
Universities/Colleges/Institutions subject to the fulfilment of the following conditions:
a) The Ph.D. degree of the candidate has been awarded in a regular mode;
b) The Ph.D. thesis has been evaluated by at least two external examiners;
c) An open Ph.D. viva voce of the candidate has been conducted;
d) The candidate has published two research papers from his/her Ph.D. work, out of
which at least one is in a refereed journal;
e) The candidate has presented at least two papers based on his/her Ph.D. work in
conference/seminars sponsored /funded/supported by the UGC/ICSSR/CSIR or any
similar agency.
The fulfilment of these conditions is to be certified by the Registrar or the Dean
(Academic Affairs) of the University concerned.
Note: NET/GSET shall also not be required for such Masters Programmes in disciplines for
which NET/GSET is not conducted by the UGC, CSIR or similar test accredited by the UGC,
like GSET.
OR
B. The Ph.D. degree has been obtained from a foreign university/institution with a ranking
among top 500 in the World University Ranking (at any time) by any one of the
following: (i) Quacquarelli Symonds (QS) (ii) the Times Higher Education (THE) or
(iii) the Academic Ranking of World Universities (ARWU) of the Shanghai Jiao Tong
University (Shanghai).
II) Associate Professor :
Eligibility:
i) A good academic record, with a Ph.D. Degree in the concerned/allied/relevant
disciplines.
ii) A Master’s Degree with at least 55% marks(or an equivalent grade in a poit-scale,
wherever the grading system is followed).
iii) A minimum of eight years of experience of teaching and / or research in an
academic/research position equivalent to that of Assistant Professor in a
University, College or Accredited Research Institution/Industry with a minimum
of seven publications in the peer-reviewed or UGC-listed journals and a total
research score of Seventy five (75) as per the criteria given in UGC rules.
III) Professor :
Eligibility (A or B):
A.
i) An eminent scholar having a Ph.D. degree in the concerned/allied/relevant
disciplines, and published work of high quality, actively engaged in research with
evidence of published work with, a minimum of 10 research publications in the
peer-reviewed or UGC-listed journals and a total research score of 120 as per the
criteria given in UGC rules.
ii) A minimum of ten years of teaching experience in university/college as Assistant
Professor/Associate Professor/Professor, and / or research experience at
equivalent level at the University/National Level Institutions with evidence of
having successfully guided doctoral candidate.
OR
B. An outstanding professional, having a Ph.D. degree in the relevant/allied/applied
disciplines, from any academic institutions (not included in A above) / industry,
who has made significant contribution to the knowledge in the
concerned/allied/relevant discipline, supported by documentary evidence
provided he/she has ten years’ experience.

Eligibility (A or B):
A
i. A Master’s Degree in Physical Education and Sports or Physical Education or Sports
Science with 55% marks (or an equivalent grade in a point-scale, wherever the grading
system is followed)
ii. Record of having represented the university / college at the inter-university / inter-
collegiate competitions or the State and/ or national championships.
iii. Besides fulfilling the above qualifications, the candidate must have cleared the National
Eligibility Test (NET), conducted by the UGC or CSIR, or a similar test accredited by the
UGC, like SLET/SET, or who are or have been awarded a Ph.D. Degree in Physical
Education or Physical Education and Sports or Sports Science, in accordance with the
University Grants Commission (Minimum Standards and Procedure for Award of
M.Phil/Ph.D. Degree) Regulations, 2009 or 2016 and their amendments from time to time,
as the case may be:
Provided that, candidates registered for the Ph.D. degree prior to July 11, 2009, shall be
governed by the provisions of the then existing Ordinances/ Bye-laws/Regulations of the
Institutions awarding the degree and such Ph.D. degree holders shall be exempted from
the requirement of NET/SLET/SET for recruitment and appointment of Assistant Professor
or equivalent positions in Universities/Colleges / Institutions, subject to the fulfillment of
the following conditions: -
a) The Ph.D. degree of the candidate has been awarded in regular mode;
b) The Ph.D. thesis has been evaluated by at least two external examiners;
c) Open Ph.D. viva voce of the candidate has been conducted;
d) The candidate has published two research papers from his/her Ph.D. work out of which
at least one is in a refereed journal;
e) The candidate has presented at least two research papers in conference/seminar, based
on his/her Ph.D work.
Note: The fulfilment of these conditions (a) to (e) is to be certified by the Registrar or the
Dean (Academic Affairs) of the University concerned.
iv. NET/SLET/SET shall also not be required for such Masters Programmes in disciplines for
which NET/SLET/SET is not conducted by the UGC, CSIR or similar test accredited by
the UGC like SLET/SET.
v. Passed the physical fitness test conducted in accordance with these Regulations.
FACULTY OF FINE (VISUAL ARTS):
(Pl. Refer 4.2 of UGC Notification F.1-2/2017 (EC/PS) dated 18th July, 2018.)
I. Assistant Professor:
Eligibility (A or B):
A.
i) Master’s Degree with 55% marks (or an equivalent grade in a point scale
wherever grading system is followed) in the relevant subject or an equivalent
degree from an Indian/foreign University.
ii) Beside fulfilling the above qualifications, the candidate must have cleared the
National Eligibility Test (NET) conducted by the UGC, CSIR or similar test
accredited by the UGC like SLET/SET or who are or have been awarded a Ph.D.

PHYSICAL FITNESS TEST NORMS
a) Subject to the provisions of these Regulations, all candidates who are required to
undertake the physical fitness test are required to produce a medical certificate certifying
that he/she is medically fit before undertaking such tests.
b) On the production of such certificate mentioned in sub-clause (a) above, the candidate
would be required to undertake the physical fitness test in accordance with the following
norms:

laws/Regulations of the Institutions awarding the degree and such Ph.D.
candidates shall be exempted from the requirement of NET/SLET/SET for
recruitment and appointment of Assistant Professor or equivalent positions in
Universities/Colleges/Institutions subjects to the fulfilment of the following
conditions:
a) Ph.D. degree has been awarded to the candidate in a regular mode

Note 2: The clearance of NET/SLET/SET shall also not be required for such Masters
Programmes in disciplines for which NET/SLET/SET is not conducted by the UGC,
CSIR or similar test accredited by the UGC (like SLET/SET).
OR
B. A traditional or a professional artist with highly commendable professional achievement
in the
subject concerned having a Bachelor’s degree, who has:
i) Studied under a noted/reputed traditional Master(s)/Artist(s)
ii) Has been ‘A’ grade artist or AIR/Doordarshan;
iii) Has the ability to explain, with logical reasoning the subject concerned; and
iv) Has adequate knowledge to teach theory with illustrations in the discipline
concerned.
4.7 MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS FOR DIORECT RECRUITMENT TO THE
POSTS OF UNIVERSITY ASSISTANT LIBRARIAN
i) A Master‘s Degree in Library Science, Information Science or Documentation
Science or an equivalent professional degree, with at least 55% marks (or an
equivalent grade in a point –scale, wherever the grading system is followed)
ii) A consistently good academic record, with knowledge of computerization of a library.
iii) Besides fulfilling the above qualifications, the candidate must have cleared the National
Eligibility Test (NET) conducted by the UGC, CSIR or similar test accredited by the
UGC like SLET/SET or who are or have been awarded a Ph.D. Degree in accordance
with the University Grants Commission (Minimum Standards and Procedure for
Award of M.Phil./Ph.D. Degree) Regulations, 2009 or 2016 and their amendments
from time to time as the case may be:
Provided that the, candidates registered for the Ph.D. degree prior to July 11, 2009, shall be

1. Consistently “Good Academic Record “in Engineering and Technology would mean,
at least First Class (60% marks) or equivalent either in Bachelor’s degree (B.E./B.
Tech.) or Master’s degree (M.E. / M. Tech) and at least 55% marks or an equivalent
grade in a point scale wherever grading system is followed at either Master’s degree
in Engineering /Technology, or at Bachelor’s level where First Class is not obtained
by the candidate.
2. A relaxation of 5% may be provided at the graduate and master's level for the
Scheduled Caste/Scheduled Tribe/ Differently abled (Physically and visually
differently abled) categories for the purpose of eligibility and for assessing good
academic record during direct recruitment to teaching positions. The eligibility marks
of 55% marks (or an equivalent grade in a point scale wherever grading system is
followed) and the relaxation of 5% to the categories mentioned above are permissible,
based on only the qualifying marks without including any grace mark procedures.
3. If a class / division is not awarded, minimum of 60% marks in aggregate shall be
considered equivalent to first class / division. If a grade Point System is adopted the
CGPA will be converted into equivalent marks as below.

4. Two years full time PGDM declared equivalent by AIU/ recognized by AICTE / UGC
shall be treated equivalent to master’s degree in Management / Administration.

i. A Bachelor’s degree in Engineering /Technology in the relevant branch with First
class or equivalent.
ii. If a candidate has Master’s degree in Engineering/Technology, First class or
equivalent is required at Bachelor’s or Master’s level.
For Humanities & Sciences:
i. First class Master’s degree in appropriate subject, with first class or equivalent at
Bachelor’s or Master’s level
Qualifications for Assistant Professor:
I) a) Technology & Engineering subjects:
B.E./B.Tech./ B.S. and M.E./M.Tech./M.S. or Integrated M.Tech. in relevant
branch with First Class or equivalent in any one of the degree.
b) Management:
Bachelor’s Degree in any discipline and Master’s Degree in Business
Administration / PGDBM/C.A./OCWA/M.Com. With First Class or equivalent
and two years of professional experience after acquiring the degree of Master’s
degree.
c) Pharmacy
a) A Bachelor (B.Pharm.) and Master (M.Pharm) degree in Pharmacy each First
Class or equivalent in appropriate branch of specialization in Pharmacy
recognized by Pharmacy Council of India(PCI).
b) A PCI recognized Pharm. D Degree holder shall also be eligible for the posts
of Lecturer/Assistant Professor in the subject of pathophysiology,
pharmacology and pharmacy practice.
Desirable:
Registration as a pharmacist under the pharmacy Act. 1948, as amended from time to
time, including any succeeding enactments.
Teaching, research, industrial and / or professional experience in a reputed
organization; and papers resented at conference and / or in referred journals.
In case of research experience, good academic record and books/research papers
publications/IPR/Patents record shall be required as deemed fit by the expert members
of the selection committee.
If the experience in industry is considered, the same shall be equivalent to Assistant
Professor level with active participation record in devising/ designing, planning,
executing, analyzing, Quality control innovating, training, technical books/research
paper publications/IPR/Patents etc. as deemed fit by the expert members of the
selection committee.
d) Master of Computer Applications (MCA)
B.E./B.Tech./B.S. and M.E./ M.Tech./M.S. or Integrated M.Tech. in relevant branch
with First Class or equivalent in any one of the degree.
OR
B.E./B.Tech./ and MCA with First class or equivalent in any one of the two degree.
OR
Graduation of three years’ duration with Mathematics as compulsory subject and
MVCA with First Class or equivalent with 2 years experience after acquiring degree
of MCA.
II Qualifications for Associate Professor:
a) Ph.D. degree in the relevant field and First Class or equivalent at either Bachelor’s
or Master’s level in the relevant branch.
AND
b) At least total 6 research publications in SCI Journals/UGC/AICTE approved list
of Journals.
AND
c) Minimum of 8 years experience in teaching / research / industry out of which at
least 2 years shall be Post Ph.D. experience.
III Qualifications for Professor:
a) Ph.D. degree in the relevant field and First Class or equivalent at either Bachelor’s
or Master’s level in the relevant branch.
AND
b) Minimum of 10 years of experience in teaching / research/ industry out of which
at least 3 years shall be at a post equivalent to that of an Associate Professor.
c) At least 6 research publications t the level of Associate Professor in SCI journals /
UGC / AICTE approved list of journals and at least 2 successful Ph.D. guided as
Supervisor / Co-supervisor till the date of eligibility of promotion.
OR
At least 10 research publications at the level of Associate Professor in SCI
journals /UGC / AICTE approved list of journals till the date of eligibility of
promotion.
IV Architecture
Qualifications for Lecturer:
i. A Bachelor’s degree in Architecture with First class or equivalent. If a candidate
has Master’s degree in Architecture, First class or equivalent is required at
Bachelor’s or Master’s level.
Qualifications for Assistant Professor:
Bachelor’s Degree in Architecture with minimum 60% marks and Three years of
relevant professional experience.
OR
Bachelor’s Degree in Architecture and Master’s Degree in Architecture with
minimum 60% marks at either level and one year of relevant professional experience.
Qualifications for Associate Professor:
Bachelor’s Degree in Architecture and Master’s Degree in Architecture with
minimum 60% marks at either level and
Eight years experience in teaching/ research/ professional work out of which a full-
time teaching experience of minimum Three years
OR
Thirteen years of professional experience.
Qualifications for Professor:
Bachelor’s Degree in Architecture and Master’s Degree in Architecture with
minimum 60% marks at either level and
Fourteen years experience in teaching/ research/ professional work out of which a
full-time teaching experience of minimum Five years
OR
Nineteen years of professional experience.
Desirable: Ph.D. in Architecture.
TECHNOLOGY & ENGINEERING (For Humanities and Science Subjects):
(A) Humanities & Sciences:
i A Master’s degree with 55% marks (or an equivalent grade in a point-scale wherever
the grading system is followed) in a concerned/relevant/allied subject from an Indian
University, or an equivalent degree from an accredited foreign university.

** If a paper presented in Conference/Seminar is published in the form of Proceedings, the points would accrue for the publication (III (a)) and not under presentation (III (e)(ii)). Note :
The API for joint publications will have to be calculated in the following manner: Of the total score for the relevant category of publication by the concerned teacher, the
first/Principal author and the corresponding author/supervisor/mentor of the teacher would share equally 60% of the total points and the remaining 40% would be shared equally by all other authors.
