Day 01: ARRIVE GUWAHATI (Assam) – SHILLONG (120 km/03 hrs) (Meghalaya)

Arrive Guwahati. And then drive to Shillong. On arrival check into hotel. Enroute visit Umiam Lake. Evening at leisure or if time permits, visit Police Bazaar Shillong’s prime location where the wares on sale range from electronics to traditional handicraft, modern clothing to handloom items, vegetables and traditional spices etc. Overnight.

Day 02: SHILLONG – DAVID SCOTT TRAIL – SHILLONG (Meghalaya)

After breakfast we proceed to Mawphlang. And then go for trek at David Scott trail till Lad

Mawphlang (Near Cherrapunjee)

David Scott Trail: An old trekking route and one of the most popular trekking routes in

Meghalaya, David Scott Trail Shillong has been named after David Scott, a British office. The

officer discovered this route in the first half of 1800s in the form of a mule track for

travelling from Assam to Bangladesh. Earlier this route spread in over 100 km and used to

take around 5 days to get covered, on-foot.

Noon: Packed lunch is advisable during trek. The present trail route is separated into smaller trekking routes and the trail between

Mawphlang and Lad Mawphlang, is the most famous one. This route covers the lovely

terrain of Eastern Khasi Hills and now the route in David Scott Trail expands up to 16 km and

can be covered in 4 ½ hrs. The whole trek is blessed with mesmerizing natural wonders such

as cascading waterfalls, crystal clear streams gushing down from mountains, typical Khasi

villages, scenic valleys, forests groves and expansive meadows.

Later drive to Shillong. At Shillong visit Archary ground at 3:30 p.m (Sunday closed), Don

Bosco Museum (Sunday Closed & Govt. holidays). Overnight.

Day 03: SHILLONG – MAWLLYNONG – SHILLONG (80 km/02 ½ hrs each way) (Meghalaya)

After breakfast we will drive to Mawllynong. On arrival, we will visit the living root bridge is

a 53 ft long bridge. Locally known as 'JingkiengDeingjri' which means 'bridge of the rubber

tree,' this bridge is remarkable in that it is more than a 100 years old. Then drive to Dawki

(India – Bangladesh Border). Late afternoon drive back to Shilong. Overnight at Shillong.

Day 04: SHILLONG (Meghalaya) – TEZPUR (Assam)

(Drive from Shillong to Tezpur - 260 kms/ 7 hours)

After breakfast transfer to Tezpur. On arrival check into hotel. If time permits, local

sightseeing. Overnight.

Day 05: Tezpur (Assam) – ZIRO (Arunachal Pradesh)

(Drive from Tezpur to Ziro – 320 kms/8 hours)

Today after breakfast we will set off for Ziro, 320 kms away. Before reaching Ziro we will

stop at a village inhabited by NISHI tribes. Lunch on the way. Check into hotel on arrival.

Evening visit to market. Return to hotel. Dinner and overnight.

Day 06: ZIRO (Arunachal Pradesh)

After breakfast we will be visiting APATANI villages. Ziro is one of the most traditional areas

in Arunachal Pradesh. Overnight.

Day 07: ZIRO – DAPORIJO (Arunachal Pradesh)

(Drive from Ziro to Daporijo – 160 kms/7 hours)

After breakfast we will be visiting APATANI villages and then proceed to Daporijo, 160 kms

away. Enroute we will visit HILL MIRI villages. These are the main tribes of this area. On

arrival check into village guest house. Overnight.

Day 08: DAPORIJO – ALONG (Arunachal Pradesh)

(Drive from Daporijo to Along -160 kms/8 hours)

After breakfast in the morning we drive to Along. The main tribe of this area is ADI

GALLONG. We will visit their villages on the way. On reaching Along we will visit local

market. Your accommodation has been arranged at hotel. Dinner and overnight.

Day 09: ALONG (Arunachal Pradesh)

After breakfast visit Galo villages. Dinner & Overnight.

Day 10: ALONG – PASIGHAT (Arunachal Pradesh)

(Drive from Along to Pasighat – 140 kms/ 5 hours)

We are going to Pasighat today. Visit more villages on the way. On arrival we check into

Hotel. Evening visit local market. Dinner and overnight.

Day 11: PASIGHAT (Arunachal Pradesh) – DIBRUGARH (Assam) (5 hrs drive)

After breakfast drive to Dibrugarh. Check into hotel.

Evening walk around Dibrugarh town. Overnight.

Day 12: DIBRUGARH (Assam) – MON (Nagaland) (180km/ 8 hrs)

After breakfast drive to Mon. On arrival check into Guest House. Evening at leisure.

Overnight.

Day 13: MON (Nagaland)

After early breakfast visit drive to Longwa village on the Indo-Burma border. Walk in the

village and learn about the Konyak Nagas. Today we will provide packed lunch. And then

from here drive over to another traditional village of the Konyaks, Hongphui village. Return

to Mon. Overnight.

Day 14: MON – Langmean – Chui – MON (Nagaland)

Today you will be visiting Langmean and Chui village of Konyak Nagas. Though these villages

are belongs to same ‘Konyak’ tribe but the architecture is different from other villages. At

Langmean village people still use the ‘Morung’, the boy’s dormitory, which is also

traditionally built. Packed lunch will be served. Return to Mon by late afternoon. Overnight

Day 15: MON – MOKOKCHUNG (Nagaland) (220km/ 8 hrs)

After breakfast we will be going to Mokokchung in the north-central Nagaland. This district

is inhabited by the AO Tribe. The journey will take about 8 hours. On reaching Mokokchung

we will check into Tourist Lodge. Overnight.

Day 16: MOKOKCHUNG (Nagaland)

After breakfast visit UNGMA AND ALIBA Village inhabited by AO tribes. Later visit

Impur&Mopunchuket village.

Day 17: MOKOKCHUNG (Nagaland) – KOHIMA (Nagaland) (160 km/6 hrs)

After breakfast drive Kohima. Enroute visit Wokha village inhabited by Rengma Tribe. On

arrival at Kohima, check into hotel. Overnight.

Day 18: KOHIMA (Nagaland) – visit KHONOMA VILLAGE (Nagaland)

After breakfast today we drive to Khonoma village via Kohima, a place renowned for its

valour and courage. The Khonoma gate tells the story of British infiltration into Naga hills.

After lunch, late afternoon visit the famous war cemetery, a symbolic memorial raised as

citation for the supreme sacrifice made by the officers and men of the Allied forces during

World War II. Come back to Kohima. Dinner and overnight.

Day 19: KOHIMA (Nagaland) – KAZIRANGA NATIONAL PARK (250 KM/ 08 HRS) (Assam)

After breakfast drive to Kaziranga National Park (250 KM/ 08 HRS), a paradise for greater

Indian one horned Rhinoceros as well as a home to Elephants, tigers, water buffaloes and

many species of birds. On arrival, we will check into Hotel. Dinner at the resort and

overnight stay at Kaziranga.

Day 20: KAZIRANGA NATIONAL PARK (Assam)

We will have an early morning exploration of the park by an elephant ride. Apart from the

rhino, other animals that you may encounter in the safari are hog deer, swamp deer, wild

water buffalos, elephants - and if you are lucky, even tiger. Kaziranga is also home to

pelicans, storks and darters - as there are numerous water bodies to be encountered inside

the Park. With a variety of migratory and resident birds darting from tree to tree, the safari

in Kaziranga will offer you an opportunity to observe these avian varieties – along with their

mammalian counterparts - very closely. We will return to the resort for breakfast. Mid

morning, visit a Mishing tribal village. Will have our lunch at the resort. Post lunch, we will

venture into the park for a Jeep safari. Overnight stay at Kaziranga.

Day 21: KAZIRANGA NATIONAL PARK – GUWAHATI AIRPORT (250 km/ 05 hrs) (Assam)

After breakfast transfer to Guwahati airport for onward journey.

Please note that all foreign nationals need Restricted Area Permit (RAP) to visit Arunachal Pradesh. The following documents are required for the permit and we need at least 15 – 20 working days to process the same after we receive these documents: 1) Photocopy of passport & Visa (Proper Stamp)/ E – Visa with International arrival tickets for each 2) 01 passport size photographs 3) Duly filled RAP application form (provided by us)

NOTE & IMPORTANT

1. All hotels in Arunachal Pradesh & Nagaland are non-star category. 2. Guests with adventurous mind should travel Arunachal Pradesh & Nagaland. 3. Room heaters may not work in Arunachal Pradesh & Nagaland due to voltage fluctuations. 4. In this region there are no relevance between the distance and time travelling as it depends upon the conditions of roads and congestion of traffic. 5.
