• Every year, 15 milions babies are prematurely born or with low weight

• Around half of them are born in India

•1 million don’t even survive the first 24h


•One of the main causes is hipotermia.

• Babies don’t have enough body fat to regulate body temperature.

• The issue was with the babies born on the rural areas

• Few moms could actually travel and those that could, didn’t stay all the required time.


We have to reframe the problem

Warming it up to 37 degrees, will keep baby temperature for 4h


Visiting a family in the Mharashtra state they saw how it was being

used.

They didn’t warm it up to 37 but just to ~30’s


They believe western medicine is too strong and they will reduce the amount

or dosis.

3D Avatar IM Company funded in 2004


• The decided not to create a new IM platform as the market was saturated enough.

•User created a 3D avatar, customized it and used together with the IM tools the user was already using.


• Before launching they had to work quite hard, fix many bugs, prioritize properly and they were not really happy about that first version of the product.

• In fact, they thought of postponing the launch..


At the end, they suffered for nothing…

Nobody used their product after launch.


They brought potential users to the office to interview them in person and see how they were using their product.


Teenagers were creating avatars, customized them and they even found it fun!


But they didn’t understand why they need to download a program… but when they were convinced to do so and invite their friends…


They didn’t want to invite their friends without checking if the product was ’cool’ on the first place. Otherwise their friends will think they ‘suck’.
