Item 7 WPA Peel Adhesion Trial Notes from Telephone/Video conference with Leo Jin, Raflatac Thursday 2 August at 10.30 am Participants: L Jin; P Grafton, J Roehr, T Taylor, J Rennie, D Hutton Agreed: 1. All sample bottles from WPA trial can now be destroyed 2. There was discussion regarding the concept drawing of a jig that could be made to hold the bottle during the peel adhesion test (see attached photo 1). There was general discussion including rotation speed. DH suggested the use of servo motor and this was to be investigated when PG takes up discussion with M Timmis and N Gaskin at Vinpac. Leo suggests the bottle needs to rotate to ensure that the label is kept at 90o to the bottle as it is peeled up. Post meeting: It was agreed at a later meeting with M Timmis, P Grafton, D Hutton, J Roehr that the prototype should be built requiring no servo. The prototype should be built to ensure the bottle rotates freely when inserted. 3. After viewing a concept label drawing (see attached photo 2) and after general discussion it was agreed that a. four labels on same web each with a different finish and a 3mm gap between each strip label and a 15mm reverse flap to be used to get a "grip" of the label control emboss high build ink foil Leo, in later discussion we decided we needed a fifth label fully grained patter with 3mm grain free border (see appendix 1) Finat Test 2 for 90o peel adhesion uses strips 25mm x 175mm. Based on the size of the label panel it was agreed the OI30163 would be used to allow up to apply all five 25mm x 105mm labels with a 3mm gap between each. The 105mm length will incorporate a 15mm reverse flap for “grip” A concept label will be designed using WPA TRIAL on all labels using the 5 agreed finishes using Estate 8 as this is one of the more predominant label stocks used (see attachment 3). 4. It was agreed that we apply these labels to front only over a series of not less than 4 bottling trial runs at 500 bottles per pressure rate per trial. These 4 bottling runs to take place in late October, Feb, June and September. Leo agreed to be on site when trial is being undertaken and that Protocols to be agreed.

Item 7 WPA Peel Adhesion Trial

Notes from Telephone/Video conference with Leo Jin, Raflatac Thursday 2 August at 10.30 am

Participants:

L Jin; P Grafton, J Roehr, T Taylor, J Rennie, D Hutton

Agreed:

1. All sample bottles from WPA trial can now be destroyed 2. There was discussion regarding the concept drawing of a jig that could be made to hold the

bottle during the peel adhesion test (see attached photo 1).

3. After viewing a concept label drawing (see attached photo 2) and after general discussion it was agreed that

a. four labels on same web each with a different finish and a 3mm gap between each strip label and a 15mm reverse flap to be used to get a "grip" of the label

• control • emboss • high build ink • foil

Leo, in later discussion we decided we needed a fifth label

• fully grained patter with 3mm grain free border (see appendix 1)

Finat Test 2 for 90o peel adhesion uses strips 25mm x 175mm. Based on the size of the label panel it was agreed the OI30163 would be used to allow up to apply all five 25mm x 105mm labels with a 3mm gap between each. The 105mm length will incorporate a 15mm reverse flap for “grip”

A concept label will be designed using WPA TRIAL on all labels using the 5 agreed finishes using Estate 8 as this is one of the more predominant label stocks used (see attachment 3).
