E XPLORERS C LUB N EWSLETTER Thank You for Joining Us! Everyone at Roseborough Travel Agency would like to take this opportunity to thank each and every one of you who joined us at our Elite Cruise Show 2012. We appreciate you taking time out of your busy day to support us, and we look forward to seeing you in the office to help you book your next vacation! We hope you were able to take advantage of the deals and promotions offered following the event. Maybe you found a new itinerary on a favorite cruise line, learned something new about a cruise line you weren’t so familiar with, or were introduced to a line you had no heard of before. Whatever you found - we hope to help you plan the next trip of your dreams. I am so excited to escort the Historic Highlights trip to Washington, D.C., Historic Williamsburg, and Shenandoah National Park. Though I have been to Washington, D.C. many times before, each and every time brings something new and exciting. This year, the exciting event will, of course, be the Centennial Celebration of the Cherry Blossom Festival. As a symbol of friendship, rooted strongly and surviving outside elements, the trees have withstood the test of time - and nearly a century later, we will celebrate at the National Cherry Blossom Festival. Participating in a celebration is a great thing, but Washington is full of ways to remember and honor our service men and women. We have extra time reserved to find loved ones and or friends’ grave sites at Arlington National Cemetery, the Vietnam Memorial, or anywhere in between. Let us know the names ahead of time and we will assure you are able to find those requested. Washington is truly a place that you can go 100 different times and see in 100 different ways. Let this time be your time to honor our service men and women, celebrate our country’s beauty, and enjoy the history of our nation’s Capitol. The history lesson does not stop in Washington, however. Historic Williamsburg is another great stop on this grand adventure. We will visit Yorktown Victory Center, Jamestown Settlement, Washington’s Mt. Vernon, and Jefferson’s Monticello just to name a few of the historical sights. Between war reenactments, rebuilt settlement homes, Indian villages, and craftsmen, historic colonial Williamsburg will be a place you will not want to miss! Finally, the ride back to the airport, we will partake in the beauty of the Shenandoah National Park. So who is ready to go on this trip with me? Space is very limited so call today! Safety practices in cruising - Like you, all of us at Roseborough Travel Agency are deeply saddened by the events surrounding the tragic Costa Concordia accident. Our thoughts and prayers are with everyone affected. I debated about writing this part on my travel topics, but in the end, I feel it is my duty to give you as much travel information as possible. Fleet wide, all brands under the Carnival Corporate umbrella will undergo a safety audit and a review of emergency response and safety procedures. This company wide initiative will identify lessons learned and best practices to further ensure the security and safety of all of our clients. I wanted to be respectful and mindful of this situation however, the concerns that have been raised about the safety of cruise ships compelled me to take the opportunity to acknowledge the situation. Following recent events we have been assured by ALL major cruise lines that safety practices have been heightened. We would like to reassure you, cruising continues to maintain the best safety record of any industry in the travel business.

Cathy’s Corner Can you believe it is 2012 already??? Time is sure flying by - it seems like such a long time ago when I sailed on my cruise with Carnival Victory® last November. I flew to San

Juan, Puerto Rico - great non-stop flight from Orlando. It was a very busy itinerary - St. Thomas, St. Maarten, Barbados, St. Kitt’s and St. Lucia. Beautiful islands...did some wonderful city tours around each island and still managed to do a bit of shopping. My favorite island was St. Lucia. If you are anything like me and going through post-cruise depression, try Carnival’s Victory® Chocolate Melting Cake recipe below. It is enough to hold you over before you go on your next Carnival Sensation® Cruise.

Join us on a nostalgic journey to the fun-loving, carefree days of the 50’s as we recreate the music, activities, and events of this golden era. You’ll rock around the clock to the sounds of legendary artists like Chuck Berry, Fats Domino and Elvis. You’ll also meet recording stars, TV personalities, special guests, and sports figures of the era. If you miss the great days and fun times of the 50’s, you won’t want to miss this voyage.

Join us on a magic tour through the South to enjoy the atmosphere Fall brings. Not only will you enjoy the beauty of the Fall foliage the South has to see, but you will hear the sounds of the legendary.

You will enjoy the country music and entertainment Nashville has to offer. Sightseeing through the Music City during the day will get you in the mood to experience the Grand Ole Opry live!

In Alabama, we’ll take a tour of the Dothan Botanical Gardens which is filled with beautiful trees, plants and flowers. We will be soaking up all the beauty the Fall in the South brings us.

Experience Christmas like you never have before! Begin your month of December by joining in one of our Roseborough Exclusive Escorted Bus Trips where you will not only get in the holiday spirit but you will get to experience the Christmas lights and shops of South Carolina and Georgia.

Stone Mountain and Lake Lanier both hold wonderful nights of light tours for us to appreciate. And lets not forget about that Christmas shopping. You have time to shop in the quaint German village of Helen, Georgia where you can buy wood workings, steins, visit the cabbage patch hospital, and a winery. Whatever you want or need to get for Christmas you can find it on this trip.

Join us in the Christmas Spirit today!

Well now it’s time for me to start getting excited about my next trip. I’ll be doing something totally new. I’ll be sailing on the American Queen. This trip is going to be amazing - we’ll start our trip in Louisville, KY September 6th and end in St. Louis, MO. The theme is “Music of the 50’s” and I have been told that the Platters and Bill Haley’s Comets will be paying us a visit on board. Come on with me. We’ll have a great time!!! (See Roseborough Exclusive Escorted Vacations).

Also, I will be escorting our Christmas Spectacular And Lights, Shopping and More 2012 Trip, which will be early December. We’ll be heading to Charleston, SC and on to Georgia (Stone Mountain, Helen, and Lake Lanier). Rumor has it Dana will be on this trip. Stop by the office for all the details.

This is the time to really start planning what you’re going to be doing this year and for 2013. Have a safe and happy 2012!!!
