He brings extensive experience in the use of enterprise architecture and applications architecture practices in the insurance industry, working with and within insurers. Craig has advised insurers on IT strategy, legacy modernisation, insurance vendor analysis and enterprise architecture topics, principally in the EMEA region. Since joining Celent, he has been a speaker at industry events in North America and London, as well as Celent events in Europe. Craig has spoken on topics such as the inuence of mobile on the industry, the use of social networks by insurers and how the evolving use of the Internet, data and IoT will inuence insurance in the future. JASON CABRAL, group head of pricing & MI, Zenith Insurance Jason is the Group Head of Pricing and Management Information for Markerstudy and Zenith Insurance companies where he is responsible for the protable growth of the Groups insurance portfolio and the effective delivery of MI to the business. He has 15 years experience in the insurance industry in various actuarial and underwriting roles based in Bermuda, London and Singapore. Before joining the Markerstudy Group, Jason was Vice President of XL Re responsible for underwriting and developing reinsurance business in Asia. He is a Fellow of the Casualty Actuarial Society (FCAS), holds an MBA from INSEAD and a Statistics degree from the University of Waterloo, Canada. STEVE COTTON, insurance relations director, Carrot Insurance Steve has over 25 years experience in the Insurance IT sector. He was rst attracted to the benets of technology in the 1980s as a way to avoid writing out cover notes and working out quotations from insurer rating guides. Prior to joining Carrot Insurance in September 2014, Steve spent 18 years with Software House CDL. During this time he worked closely with some of the largest retail Insurance Brokers in the UK helping to design, implement and maximise the benets of high volume IT solutions. Steve has been actively involved with Insurance Telematics since 2008 and was responsible for the strategic direction of telematics at CDL. He is passionate about telematics and believes that used correctly, the wealth of data that telematics brings can achieve better results for insurers and a better deal for drivers. ADRIAN COUPLAND, head of data services strategy, SSP Adrian has 25 years experience of applying innovative and creative thinking to deliver a positive effect right from the insurance carrier through to the insurance consumer. He has broad industry experience across broking, distribution, business development and technology. After 15 years in the broking industry, ten of which were with A-Plan, Adrian has spent the last eight years at SSP, working with insurers on various software and distribution initiatives. During that time, he has been instrumental in developing our real time pricing and telematics strategies and shaping SSPs data strategy across all its territories. STEWART DUNCAN, director of data science, Simply Business Stewart Duncan is the director of data science at Simply Business, the UKs largest business insurance broker. Stewart is leading the analysis team, helping to grow Simply Business customer base by dening and driving the data and analytics strategy across our various customer touch points and business processes. Stewart brings over 10 years of international business intelligence experience and joined Simply Business in 2013 from Expedia where he was Senior Manager Business Intelligence. He then became Head of Digital Projects at leading CSR consultancy Business in the Community before joining the Civil Service. Working within government, he was responsible for leading digital campaigns for Apprenticeships and worked alongside the Government Digital Service on the transition to GOV.uk. After a years secondment heading up digital for WorldSkills London 2011, the largest event to have ever been held at ExCeL, he joined Erskine Design, a small boutique agency based in Nottingham. There he oversaw work with the BBC on the development of the Global Experience Language (GEL) and expanded the agency into the US, opening an office in Houston, Texas. He now heads up the digital team at Endsleigh Insurance Services Limited, part of the Zurich Insurance Group. Endsleigh is approaching its 50th year and is best known as the leading insurer of students and graduates. At Endsleigh, Iain has been leading the renewal of the companys customer facing websites and transition towards digital servicing. DAVE HINDMARSH, DI - strategic lead operation catcher, Metropolitan Police Dave joined the Metropolitan Police Service in 1991. He has investigated a number of high prole cases, including a barrister for blackmail and a DR for the Manslaughter of his patient. Dave have received a number of Commendations including being highly commended for Professional service to justice at the Houses of Parliament, and the ACPO/Police Federation award for Outstanding service to roads policing. He developed the Operation Catcher team, investigating organised criminality involving insurance fraud this has so far resulted in a number of substantial custodial sentences and fraud savings of about 31 Million across the Insurance industry. DARIUS KUMANA, head of IT & digital strategy, Markel International Darius heads IT and Digital Strategy for Markel International. He is not your typical technical leader, he is a someone who understands that success is no longer about having the best technology. IAN MCLEAN, CIO & head of IT, Sterling As Head of IT for Sterling Insurance Group Ian works closely with Senior Management to shape the use of technology across the wide range of protection insurance products offered by the group. Guiding the development teams in the correct adoption of emerging technologies and predicting how these technologies can be harnessed to meet future opportunities are also critical to his role. Ian is also CIO of Sterling Technologies, a subsidiary arm of the group.
