Entergy and Vermont Yankee IBEW Reach Tentative Agreement on New Contract

Vernon, VT-Following day-long negotiations, Entergy Nuclear Operations, Inc., which owns and operatesthe Vermont Yankee electrical generating station, and the negotiating committee of the InternationalBrotherhood of Electrical Workers Local 300 Unit 8 have tentatively agreed to terms for a newthree-year contract. Unit 8 represents 148 of the 500 men and women who work at Vermont Yankee.

The full union membership will vote on ratification of the proposal beginning at 4:00 this afternoon. Resultsof the vote will be announced later this evening.

The contract, if ratified, will be in effect for the next three years. The current contract will expire at midnighttonight.

Vermont Yankee Site Vice President Jay Thayer commended both sides for reaching the tentativeagreement. "Entergy appreciates the hard work and extra effort of both sides to ensure we have a contractproposal. This is what we have been striving for throughout the negotiation process. Our goal is tohave a contract that is acceptable to our union workers and will allow us to go forward operating VermontYankee safely and efficiently for the benefit of our customers."

Entergy and Vermont Yankee IBEW Reach Tentative Agreement on NewContract

Vemon, VT-Following day-long negotiations, Entergy Nuclear Operations,Inc., which owns and operates the Vermont Yankee electrical generatingstation, and the negotiating committee of the International Brotherhoodof Electrical Workers Local 300 Unit 8 have tentatively agreed to termsfor a newthree-year contract. Unit 8 represents 148 of the 500 men and women whowork at Vermont Yankee.

The full union membership will vote on ratification of the proposalbeginning at 4:00 this afternoon. Results of the vote will be announcedlater this evening.

The contract, if ratified, will be in effect for the next three years.
