The Path To RenovationIn anticipation of a remodeling project, the Youth Services Staff:
• Established the goal for the Youth Services area
“To create a room that is comfortable, user-friendly and able to accommodate the changing needs of the diverse groups that we serve.”

• Defined the major areas to be addressed:
1. Provide more comfortable seating areas.
2. Expand the audiovisual area.
3. Improve the visibility and attractiveness of the Youth Services entry.
4. Add quiet spaces for groups and individuals.

Don’t be intimidated by their expertise. Yes, they are experts in their field, but you are the expert on your community and your library patrons.

Do not be afraid to speak up. If you have an idea, tell them about it. It is their job to figure out if it can work in the master plan.
