• Find an issue facing journalism: look for a journalistic ethics question.
• Study what was written about the situation.
• See how the media handled the situation.
Form an opinion on how you think the media behaved.

• It starts by finding an appropriate topicappropriate topic (try the blog!) and explaining it.

• Explain whywhy it is an ethical dilemma.• Explain howhow the media handled the situation.• Discuss how the media has handled similar similar
situationssituations.• Discuss the newsworthiness criterianewsworthiness criteria AND the

Offer your opinions about whether the outlets handled the situation properly, and if
not, how you feel they should have handled it.
Cite at least 3 sources.
