Burbridge students and staff celebrated Super Hero day on Monday. A day to celebrate Super Heroes

you know both real and fictional. Students were entertained by Captain Cleanup who arrived in his

special Super Hero car and taught us all why it is so important to clean up our rubbish and litter.

Students then participated in many interesting activities around the school such as face painting,

discovering what their Super Hero name is and completing a Super Hero obstacle course. Other fun

tasks organised for our students included biscuit making and assorted arts and crafts. A huge thank

you to all parents/carers and staff for putting so much thought and effort into your child’s Super Hero

costumes. It was a fun filled enjoyable day!

Harrison and William are enjoying the latest eye gaze technology. These computers have an inbuilt eye

tracker ideal for students to develop their eye gaze skills, communication, cause and effect responses

and computer skills

Area B students have been playing ball sports each morning during their fitness class. They have been

having lots of fun practising their skills such as throwing, catching, kicking, rolling and reaching for

many different size balls

Some Area B students enjoyed having their faces painted on Harmony Day

HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO OUR SPECIAL BURBRIDGE STUDENTS, HEAVEN, REVANTH,JOSEPH D AND

COOPER WHO WILL BE CELEBRATING THEIR BIRTHDAYS OVER THE NEXT FEW WEEKS OF MAY,

WISHING YOU ALL A GREAT DAY!

The MyTime Group is an opportunity for parents, grandparents and

families of students with disabilities to meet, network and share a coffee.

Parents can also identify any areas in which they require support or

information and the MyTime providers will organise short information sessions

accordingly. Younger siblings can be supervised by play helpers at the session

to allow parents the opportunity to have a distraction-free experience!

We are very pleased to announce that the MyTime Group has begun again

from Tuesday 8th May from 9-11am in the Independent Living Centre at

Burbridge School.

There has been a change in the way MyTime is funded and runs in schools.

Burbridge School will no longer run the MyTime Group. The group will now be

run by the Ethnic Disability Advocacy Centre with funding from Ngala.

However, the group will still run on the Burbridge School site and will continue

to be a parent led group. We thank you for your patience whilst we have put

these new arrangements in place. We look forward to hosting this valuable

group once again.

If any new parents would like to join the MyTime Group, please come

along and register.
