It is that time of year
for soft white snow flakes
to start falling, chimneys
to start puffing little clouds
of smoke, mothers and
grandmothers creating the
greatest of culinary feasts
and the time of year to
gather with our loved ones.
UMTR2ME would like to
take this opportunity to
wish you and yours a
Happy Holiday Season!!!

UMTR2ME YOU MATTER TO ME WINTER 2012
UMTR2ME Bracelets
Since we launched
UMTR2ME in August of this
year we have over 400UMTR2ME bracelets being
worn all over the United
States and just recently the
United Kingdom and Italy.
Save A Life Walk
This was a special year for us because it was the first
year that the Survivors of Suicide Loss-San Diego SaveA Life Walk had a table present for suicide attempters
at their resource fair. We were honored to be that table,
because it was our first public event. It was such a
blessing to connect with so many people that willingly
shared their struggles with us.
Stand Down MarineI was exceptionally humbled and honored to have been
asked to share my personal story with 1,500 men andwomen of the MCAS Mag-16, representing our United
States Marine Corp. It was by far my largest speaking
engagement to date and it was expressed that they
would like me to return to speak to the rest of the
Marine Corp Air Station. There may also be another
opportunity coming up in the very near future to speak
to a group of Navy Sailors.
Thank you for your gift supportWe would like to extend a very special thank you to those
of you who were so kind and generous enough to believe in
this life changing and life saving initiative to give a financial
gift to UMTR2ME. Your gift provided bracelets to those
who could not afford one. It means so much to us, especially
knowing that you gave your gift aware that we were not able
to provide tax deductions at this time. The good news is that
we are incorporated and will have filed for our 501c3 status
by the end of 2012. Once again, Thank You!!!

UMTR2ME YOU MATTER TO ME WINTER 2012
What
HonoraryAmbassador Program
One of the things I louve most about being a
part of UMTR2ME is the inspiration I receive
from others. Seeing the vision of UMTR2ME
being actively lived out by others. The reason Ilaunched UMTR2ME was because I truly
believe that as simple as it is to tell someone
you matter to me, we do not hear it enough,
because it is not said enough.
I never set out to have an ambassador program
and as a matter of fact, to be very honest with
you, it was never a thought in the deepest
corners of my mind.
However, there were three specific individuals
that I had been offering support to through
YouTube, e-mail and facebook. These
individuals were making great strides in taking
control of their lives and began managing their
very own well-being. As a matter of fact, all
three were cutters who were struggling for a
long time. But each day as we spoke they
began to cut less and less and before we knew itthey stopped cutting completely.
Not only have these strong individuals helped
themselves, they began to help others. Then one
day I thought to myself, this is exactly what
UMTR2ME is all about. Without even trying
these strong selfless individuals are being
ambassadors of UMTR2ME.
Then once again in true UMTR2ME fashion, itjust happened and we began our UMTR2ME
Honorary Ambassador Program, which
recognizes individuals who are examples to
others in their community of the UMTR2ME
vision.
What makes an AmbassadorWe do not look for UMTR2ME Ambassadors, they
just happen. They are individuals who not only are
living examples of our vision but they selflessly go
above and beyond reaching out to peers, community
members, friends or family members that are
struggling. Most importantly they are not seeking
recognition as an ambassador. They simply and
truly want to help those who are where they have
been and may still be.

UMTR2ME YOU MATTER TO ME WINTER 2012
A few words from Jimm
This year has been such an amazing journey
and I want to give a special thank you to a few
people so please bear with me. It wont hurt myfeelings, and Ill never know if you skip this
part.
My number one thank you goes to God whom
NONE of this would be possible if he did not
save me from myself on March 23, 1988.
I also want to thank my wonderful wife of 16
years who is my partner in everything that I do
and has not only stood by me through this
journey, but at times has even carried me. I
want to say thank you to the following for their
love and support: my mom and dad, my son
Sean, Phil and Edie, Planet Johnny, Michelle
Madden, Bonnie Bear, Jason Neese, Nancy
Taylor, Mitch LeBlanc, Nick St. Pierre, Cassie
Hauser, Roz, Sandy, Jill, Chef Lewis, Mickey,
Kerri, Peter Nerothin, all of our facebook,
Twitter and YouTube fans.
I have to give a very special thank you to Rex
Kennemar, who in true UMTR2ME fashion
one day asked me a question that sparked the
fire that is UMTR2ME-You Matter to Me.
I have been so blessed by God to have been
chosen to take something as dark and nearly
disastrous as a failed attempt at suicide and use
it for His glory. I am so fortunate to have met so
many wonderful people over that last fivemonths that will forever hold a special place in
my heart and I could not mean it anymore
when I say that You Matter to You.
There have been so many exciting events and
organizations that I have been able to be a part
of this past year such as the Save A Life Walk,
the Rocks Pervasive Hope Campaign,
AFSPSD Out of the Darkness Walk, speaking
to 1,500 Marines, the UMTR2ME/Austin
Moffett Memorial gift, the UMTR2ME
Honorary Ambassador program and not tomention the countless e-mails, text messages,
facebook posts; comments and messages and
tweets from the UMTR2ME family.
The last five months have been such a
whirlwind for me and I have not even included
the ministries that I am involved with at the
Rock Church such as being a community
Chaplain, a counselor for the Care and Concern
Ministry and the Pastoral Support Team thatstarts this next January.
If all of this has happened over the last five
months I can only imagine what a full year will
hold for UMTR2ME and me.
So as this year winds down, because Lord
knows Im not, I want to say thank you to each
and every single person that has had anything to
do with UMTR2ME.
I hope that you have a happy holiday with your
family and friends and dont forget to tell
someone, You Matter to Me.
imm.
See you in 2013
