Total Containment, Inc.The problems associated with TCI’s piping, pipe entry boots and reducing donuts are unique to TCI. Becoming aware of theproblem in 1994, TCI attempted to replace many of their installation sites with redesigned products. Now, even TCIredesigned piping and entry boot products are beginning to fail.

TCI PipingTCI’s flexible underground piping contains polymers not suit-ed for underground performance. The specified elastomericmaterial can degrade when exposed to water, gasoline andmicrobes over a period of time. Typically the warmer the cli-mate the faster it can degrade.

TCI Pipe Entry BootsTCI’s pipe entry boots are constructed of similar materialsand can suffer similiar degradation over time as thepiping. There is a risk if TCI’s piping, entry boots andreducing donuts fail, a leak may escape its secondary con-tainment, therefore contaminating the environment.

TCI constructed their piping and entry boots of materials that were inappropriatefor long term external exposure to fuels, water & microbes.

Today Total Containment isout of business and unable to honoror service their product warranties.
