Issue Brief: Integrating Rule of Law in the Post-2015 Development Framework

description

As we approach the Millennium Development Goals (MDGs) deadline, development partners must look beyond 2015 and consider the role of democratic governance in continuing to promote development objectives. This will be particularly important if the international community commits itself to a new set of goals. Democratic governance has not received enough attention in the MDGs, but is increasingly advocated for the post-2015 development agenda. Against this backdrop, this series of Issue Briefs have been prepared as part of the Global Thematic Consultation on Governance and the Post-2015 Development Agenda.
