We have managed to fit our usually busy schedule into a slightly shorter term and achieved some great results along the way. There are so many jobs in schools that are not attached to a particular job description so the fact that they get done so well is a tribute to our staff. Staff members are consistently going above and beyond what is required to ensure we provide the best possible opportunities for our students. I always encourage graduating students to acknowledge those who have assisted them throughout their time at primary school. We often take things for granted and forget to acknowledge the efforts of those supporting us and our families so I encourage everyone to take the time to thank someone at school who has done this.

Our students enjoyed a great school cross country event last week in beautiful weather after Mrs Sheedy made the wise decision to postpone the event. Again she organised a wonderful event with great participation by all and some excellent performances by individual athletes. We now look forward to the

Interschool Cross Country next Wednesday when hundreds of primary school students from the greater Bunbury Area converge on our school for the largest primary school sporting event in the south west.

We also have a talent quest to look forward to next Thursday afternoon. This is a great way to end the term with many students looking forward to a short burst of fame on stage. This event takes a huge amount of organisation and extra work which Mrs Smith does to a very high standard, so a very big thank you to her.

Unfortunately head lice are a fact of life at schools so please remain vigilant in checking and treating your child’s hair so we can minimise the impact for everyone.

I hope families enjoy the extra time together provided by the upcoming school holidays.
