PARKING We are very fortunate at our school to have a large, off street parking area. It is very important for the safety of our students that this area is used correctly and all signs are obeyed. Please be aware that the area between the 2 No Parking signs is for drop off and pick up only. Maximum time in this area is 2 minutes. Parents are asked to park around the perimeter of the parking area, along the edge of the pathway or against the Lyons Road/Toormina Road boundary, and not block the driveway area near the bus bay. Parents must not drop off or pick up children in the bus bay area. Please exercise caution when entering and exiting the bus bay/driveway area as several buses service our school and visibility is sometimes obstructed by vehicles in the driveway area. Please remember the staff carpark is for staff and taxi access only. Parents should not be entering the carpark unless prior arrangement has been made with the Principal. CANTEEN NEWS We recently had the Environmental Health & Safety officer from Coffs Harbour City Council do an inspection of the canteen. I am pleased to say that we passed and received a 5 star rating. Canteen will have to close on Monday, 4 & 5 March (NEXT WEEK) due to family commitments and a shortage of volunteers. If you are able to spare a couple of hours per week please see Denise in the canteen then attend the office to complete the appropriate paperwork. Price changes: As of Wednesday, 6 March pancakes will be 40c with 1 topping and 80c with 2 toppings. Juice tube full will be $1.00. We have a suggestion box on the counter at the canteen. Please submit any ideas or suggestions for the canteen or the P & C. You can remain anonymous. Denise Hudacek Canteen manager P & C NEWS The P & C would like to say a big thank you to Mr Chidgey for organising and conducting the school swimming carnival and to Michelle for recording every event. Thank you also to everyone else who helped out on the day. Congratulations to the students for their participation, wonderful behaviour and sports team support! There is a suggestion box at the canteen for anything you would like discussed at the P & C meetings. You can remain anonymous. This is a great way to put forward ideas and suggestions if you are unable to attend meetings. We are collecting raffle prizes for our Easter Raffle. If you have any donations of chocolate please leave them at the office or at the canteen. We would like to let everyone know that this year’s Christmas raffle grand prize is a 4 night holiday at Sea World Resort! Tickets will be available soon and will be $2 per ticket. Stay tuned for more details in the coming weeks! Toni Scoble President P&C Association
