Dear Lawson Public School Parents and Carers,
Artist in Residence Program
Many thanks to our fantastic P&C for the very generous contribution of an Artist in Residence Program here at
Lawson.
Beth Norling is a freelance illustrator, author and designer with 30 years of experience, her work includes but is not
limited to print media, fiction & non-fiction, children's books, book covers, animations, signage, murals, business
branding, retail design & display, websites/blogs, personalised gifts, flat pattern design & cards.
We look forward to Beth joining us next week. How exciting!
Student Leadership
In week 7 of this term, students in year 5 will be given the opportunity to become school leaders (captains/Vice
Captains) for 2020.
Students can be nominated and/or self-nominate for the position. Details on the procedure are in our student welfare
policy and will be provided to students by the end of the week.
Wishing nominees, the very best of success.
Thank you
Many thanks to our awesome volunteers who attended our working Bee last Friday to cover the mountain of new
library books. Our students will be very excited with the new selection of books to borrow. Your assistance is
welcomed and greatly appreciated.
Warmest Regards
Matthew Jacobson
Principal
