CARZONE.IE HELPS ADAMS OF TRALEE LTD. SUPPORT LOCAL HURLING TEAM

Adams of Tralee Ltd., a family owned premium Mazda and Hyundai dealership in Tralee, has won the Carzone.ie sponsorship for their chosen local sports team, the Causeway GAA Hurling Club. The lucky club recently received the sponsored kit, which consists of a set of branded jerseys and a new large gear bag for each player on the senior and intermediate team. Adams of Tralee Ltd. is well established in the Tralee area and have a long-standing association with the Causeway GAA Club. This strong relationship was the basis for the dealership choosing to support the team for the Carzone.ie competition. Noel O’Connor, sales manager of Adams of Tralee Ltd. commented; “We want to extend our sincere thanks to Carzone.ie for their generous contribution with this great dealer competition. Adams of Tralee has a long involvement with the Causeway GAA Club and we are delighted to be able to support the teams in this way. I’m involved in the club myself and I know how much this means to everyone involved. Our last set of jerseys were around 10 years old and we already have two wins from two in the new Carzone.ie supported kit – long may it continue!” The competition is being run by Carzone.ie, who have been calling on car dealers nationwide to nominate their local sports team of choice. This sponsorship initiative will see a number of sports clubs receive their very own branded kit courtesy of their local car dealership over the next few months, giving car dealerships the opportunity to support their local community.

KNOW YOUR RIGHTS: MICROCHIPPING OF DOGS

QuestionShould my dog be microchipped? Does the microchip replace a dog licence?

AnswerUnder the Microchipping of Dogs Regulations 2015, all dogs born after 1 June 2015 must be microchipped and registered on an authorised database by the time they are 12 weeks old, or if they leave the property on which they were born before the age of 12 weeks.

The microchip does not replace the licence. You will still need to have a licence for your dog. Dog licences are issued by your local authority.

If your dog was born after 1 June 2015 and is now over 12 weeks old, it should already have been microchipped and registered. Since 31 March 2016, the Regulations apply to all dogs over 12 weeks old. Even if your dog has already been microchipped (for a pet passport, for example) it needs to be registered on an authorised database as well.

The microchip can only be implanted by a vet, a veterinary nurse or a person who has been trained by one of the authorised databases. The microchip contains a unique 15-digit number. When you register with an authorised database, this number is recorded on it, along with your name and address details. Microchipping and registering means that, if your dog goes missing and is found, you can be identified as its owner and be reunited with it. If you plan to buy a new dog at any stage, you should check that it has been microchipped and registered. The seller has to give you the dog’s certificate of registration and you should forward it to the relevant database to get the details updated. If you move house, you will need to update your contact details on the database.

The Department of Agriculture, Food and the Marine has published a list of authorised databases, along with a set of Frequently Asked Questions, on agriculture.gov.ie.

Get your friends together, it will be wet, it will be muddy, it will be fun, it will be challenging, but most of all it will be an experience you will remember. The course is challenging but is set amongst some of the nicest scenery in the country. CBS LADS WIN 5 CATTLE!!!On the 16th of March, five students from CBS The Green attended the final of the Certified Irish Angus Beef Schools Competition. The event took place in Croke Park, where the students were interviewed and their knowledge of Irish Angus and efforts to promote it was put to the test. The Certified Irish Angus Schools Competition is about promoting Certified Irish Angus beef among farmers, retailers in the food industry and consumers. The boys focused their approach on targeting the consumer. Having progressed in the competition they now face the task of raising five calves over an 18 month period. They are faced with a new project, and will be tasked with a new theme, but the boys are never shy of a new challenge. They will put their heart and soul into the next 18 months, their first challenge is a training day in May to be followed by a week at The Ploughing Championships in September, where they will receive their cattle and the real work will begin. The Competition received entries from all over Ireland. The boys have progressed from the initial entry via a video they produced, the interview stage out of Munster in Cork, and the all-Ireland stage in Croke Park, which 20 schools attended. The boys are now one out of five teams of finalists, and plan to win the overall prize of 2000 EURO. They have expended vast amounts of time creating their cow jigsaw puzzle (pictured) to show the different cuts of beef and their uses. They interviewed Kerry players about their knowledge on the nutritional benefits of Irish Angus beef and found that it was a key part of their diet. On the 29th of February they hosted an Irish Angus Beef burger day to demonstrate firsthand to their fellow students how much better Irish Angus Beef tastes in comparison to other beef burgers. They have also created an app and plan to publish it to the App Store and the Play Store if they receive funding to do so.The boys have officially won their battle for the cattle, but as they say, the war has just begun.

Question: How often should I backup my laptop?

In today’s fast-paced world, backing up your files is of the utmost importance. Typically music, movies, films, data files, projects, and photos are all stored on your phone or laptop so you should regular backup your data. The best way is to backup is to the cloud here are some options that are available. If you have an iPhone and a MacBook then apple will give you 5 GB free for windows you could use Dropbox which only gives you 2 GB free. Microsoft will give you 7GB free using their one drive app. Google is one of best free options out there, you will get 15GB free and it will work on your iPhone, iPad and Android devices.

Question: I upgraded to Windows 10 can I go back to windows 7?

Yes you can, If it’s been less than a month since you upgraded to Windows 10, you can go back to your previous version of Windows by going to Settings > Update & security > Recovery and selecting either Go back to Windows 7 or Go back to Windows 8.1. This won't affect your personal files, but it will remove any apps you installed after the upgrade to Windows 10. But if it has been more than a month then I can do it for you. Before making any changes to your device make sure you backup your files

RELAXATION WITH RESULTS!This is something that we are delighted to now be offering our clients here @ Expose beauty & hair studio says Kate business development manager for expose. We really felt that on one level we were offering results driven treatments- but as client care is our number priority wanted to offer complete peace and relaxation also.So in March this year Expose opened their NEW facial, body & relaxation rooms. We feel this adds a lot more luxury to the whole salon experience, something that is only usually found in spas. This new area is a world away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life and the stresses that come with juggling a work life balance. Its brings peace and tranquillity with serene surroundings. All the treatment rooms bring a sense of intense relaxation with soothing colours and décor. Most importantly though is that you will leave expose not only feeling great but looking great too!!

Everybody wants to look their best & being able to offer our clients advanced skincare treatments is another huge advantage for anyone thinking of booking an appointment @ Expose. Our therapists are all extremely professional and well trained skin care specialiats. All new clients will receive an indepth skin analysis before their treatment with further care taken on following visits to ensure any changes in skin condition are noted and treated accordingly. We don’t look at people coming through our doors as just customers says Kate, they are clients and their needs and expecations from treatments is our number one goal. We want everyone to leave our salon feeling like they have been really looked after as well as looking fantastic!! Advanced systems such as luminette IPL can treat annoying problems for clients like thread veins, unwanted facial hair and pigmentation. Sarah our beauty manager has lots of years of experience working with IPL (our system using heat & light to diminish the mentioned problems)so you can be confident you will be in safe hands. With treatments starting from as little as €45 per area.Omnilux hailed as the safe alternative to botox is another option for clients visiting Expose. This revolutionary treatment was originally devised to be used in hospitals in their burns units because of its immense healing power and is still used today. It has been developed further for the beauty industry to plump out the skin ,smooth fine lines and wrinkles and leave skin with a more even youthful complexion. Another setting on this advanced machine also treats teenage and adult acne by penetrating deep down to kill off any acne causing bacteria. This treatment is fantastic says Kate. The benefits of this treatment are just amazing! it is non invasive and there is no down time so you can have your treatment in your lunch break if you wish!We can also add omnilux onto your regular facial for an added boost or clients get amazing results when they have omnilux after one of our Dermaceutic peels. If you have very congested skin with a lot of blackheads and white heads or a thickened skin Medical Microdermabrasion is the answer leaving your skin smooth and refined. Again for an added glow to your skin we can introduce omnilux after this treatment for truly thorough results Dermaceutic is one of the 3 professional skincare lines that we carry all giving optimum results.Sometimes all a client may require are regular prescription or maintenance facials. We offer FREE consultations to all our clients so if you are unsure exactly what your skin requires we can make that decision for you.All our clients having facial or body treatments can avail of our NEW relaxation suite, where you can listen to soothing sounds, sip

herbal tea, read a magazine or perhaps just snooze after your treatment.

Our sister hair salon next door which also houses our nail and make up area brings a different feel and has for want of a better word a more buzzy feel! Says Kate. While having your nails done you can enjoy a coffee, latte or cappuccino watch a little TV or just relax! Our Hair stylists offer a friendly professional service and are always keen to experiment if you feel like a “makeover” with FREE parking and wifi Expose can offer their clients a convenient friendly and truly professional experience.

Rebecca

Hello my beautiful friends, hope you’re all having a great week! This week I’m going to do a ‘Current Favourites’ post in which I will talk about everything that I am loving at the moment.

In no particular order, here are the things that I’m absolutely OBSESSING over at the moment!

• The Kylie Lip Kits – If you follow me on Instagram, Snapchat or Facebook you’ll already know that my obsession with the Kylie Jenner lip kits is strong. I have the colours Mary Jo K, a fabulous red shade and Candy K, a pinkish nude shade. The kit comes with an insanely pigmented lip liner and a matte liquid lipstick. Because it is matte I thought it would really dry out my lips but that is not the case. It is such a high quality product and lasts all day! Kylie is restocking the kits every week or so on her website Kyliecosmetics.com. Last night I ordered Dolce K with my roommates so that we could share the delivery cost. The kit itself is 29 dollars which works out at about 25 euro, great value for a lip liner and lipstick! The delivery works out at another 14 euro, which is why me and my roommates ordered them last night together and shared the delivery price. 100% worth it.

• BECCA Cosmetics & Jaclyn Hill Champagne Pop Highlighter – THIS HIGHLIGHTER IS LIFE. I’m serious, it’s amazing. I got it in Sephora in Toronto but you can get it online on Space Nk or Cult Beauty for about 40 euro. Made by YouTuber Jaclyn Hill with Becca Cosmetics, this highlight gives that goddess glow highlight to my cheeks.

• Lumee Selfie Case – Yes I bought one, and I love it. The Lumee selfie case is a case for your iPhone that has LED lights so that you always have good lighting for selfies. I know it sounds vain but when I do my makeup you don’t understand the absolute struggle I used to go through to get good lighting if there was no natural daylight available to me. Now I can have well lit pictures all the time so who’s really winning here?

• Blank Canvas Cosmetics Master Series Palette One – I was lucky enough to have Blank Canvas send me this eyeshadow palette and I rarely use anything else. It has 12 warm brown insanely pigmented shades, perfect for me as warm browns are basically all I wear. It’s priced at 34 euro which is brilliant value. I literally use this palette every single time I do my makeup.

• Catrice Camouflage Concealer – I discovered this from Lucy Bradley @Lbmakeup on snapchat, she’s amazing at makeup and was always going on about how unreal this concealer is. It’s only 3.50 so I said I’d give it a try and I am obsessssssing. If you don’t have it, go buy it. You won’t be sorry.

Bexblah Fitness!HELLO MY STRONG FRIENDS, I HOPE YOU’RE

ALL HAVING A GREAT WEEK.First off, quick update about how weighing myself daily is going… On the 22nd of March I started weighing myself every day for the simple fact that I wanted to make sure I stay on track with my goals and I’m accountable for what I do.It’s going really well so far, I have been able to track my progress as well as see how certain things, aka going all out bank holiday weekend, affect my weight and how fast my body bounces back from it. I also find that weighing myself every day keeps my sticking to my food plan way more and I’m less likely to eat for boredom at night as I know I have to weigh myself the following morning. So all in all it’s going well. I have specific goals and I am more determined than ever to meet them!

Secondly, I said I’d talk about gym music. The right music in the gym really gets me pumped and enhances my workout. So here’s my current workout playlist.

Wild Wild Leeks

INGREDIENTS

INGREDIENTS

METHOD

METHOD

WILD GARLIC AND SAUSAGE FUSILLI

1. Slice a deep pocket in each chicken breast. To do this, insert a deep knife into the thickest end of the breast. Keep pushing down along the breast, about halfway into the fillet, being careful not to cut all the way through. Push your finger down into the hole to open it, then stuff with 25g wild garlic butter, making sure that it goes all the way into the pocket. Repeat the process with the remaining chicken breasts.

2. Line up 3 shallow bowls and put the flour in the first, the beaten eggs in the second and the breadcrumbs in the third. Dredge each chicken breast in the flour, then coat in the eggs and lastly the breadcrumbs. Dip each one in the eggs for a second time, then coat again in the breadcrumbs. Transfer to a plate and repeat with the remaining stuffed chicken breasts. Cover the plate with cling film and chill for at least 1 hr.

3. When you are ready to eat, heat oven to 180C/160C fan/gas 4. Fill a pan 2cm deep with oil and set over a medium-high heat. Once hot, fry the Kievs for 2-3 mins each side until golden brown, then transfer to a baking tray. Pop in the oven for 15 mins or until cooked through. Serve with salad leaves and a lemon wedge to squeeze over.

I bought sausages from sasta at Tralee farmers market for this dish

• 2 heaped teaspoons fennel seeds • 2 dried red chillies , crumbled • olive oil • 4 higher-welfare coarse Italian or butcher sausages • 4 handfuls wild garlic leaves , washed, plus 4 handfuls of

spinach leaves, washed • 320 g fusilli • 1 lemon • sea salt • freshly ground black pepper • 1 small handful Parmesan cheese , freshly grated, plus

extra for serving

Bash up the fennel seeds and chillies in a pestle and mortar, then put to one side. Heat a splash of olive oil in a pan on a medium heat. Cut open the sausage skins and squeeze the meat into the pan. Stir it around with a wooden spoon, breaking it up into small pieces so it resembles coarse mince. Fry for a few minutes until the meat starts to colour and the fat has started to render out. Add the bashed up fennel seeds and chillies to the meat, and cook on a medium heat for around 10 minutes until the meat is crisp, dark golden brown and caramelised. Turn the heat down to low. Put a large saucepan of salted water on to boil. If you managed to get hold of wild garlic leaves, simply blanch them in the boiling water for 3 minutes, then scoop out and put in a food processor. If you aren’t using wild garlic, add the garlic cloves to the water and cook for 3 to 4 minutes before adding the spinach. Cook for another 3 to 4 minutes, until the spinach has wilted, then fish out all the spinach and the garlic cloves with a slotted spoon, and put it all into a food processor. Add the fusilli to the water, bring it back to the boil and cook according to the packet instructions. Blitz the wild garlic leaves or the cooked garlic and spinach in the food processor, until you have a deep green sauce, then add a lug of olive oil, a grating of lemon zest and a pinch of salt and pepper. When the pasta is al dente, drain it in a colander, reserving some of the cooking water. Put the pasta back in the saucepan and add a splash of the cooking water and a squeeze of lemon juice. Gently stir the lovely green sauce into the pasta to coat it then immediately divide the pasta between your bowls. Top with the delicious crisp sausage meat and a nice grating of Parmesan cheese, and serve.

WILD GARLIC CHICKEN KIEV

• 4 skinless chicken breasts• 100g wild garlic butter, • 50g plain flour, well seasoned• 3 large egg, beaten• 125g panko or coarse dried breadcrumbs• sunflower oil, for frying• mixed leaves, to serve• lemon wedges, to serve

GENTLEMAN Despite the fact that I’m a gentleman, I have no luck with women, I just always seem to screw things up.

Recently I saw an attractive woman. I decided to open the doors for her. Unfortunately, she got sucked out of the plane.

I WENT TO SEE THE CHRISTMAS PLAY AT MY LOCAL PRIMARY SCHOOL THE OTHER DAY And the scene where the 3 Wise Men bring gifts to Baby Jesus was approaching. The second class pupils walked to center stage one after another, faced Baby Jesus, and placed their gifts on the ground one at a time.“I bring you gold” the first child said“I bring you myrrh” the second child said“Frank sent this” the last child said.

THE JUDGEA judge was interviewing a woman regarding her pending divorce, and asked, “What are the grounds for your divorce?” She replied, “About four acres and a nice little home in the middle of the property with a stream running by”. “No” he said, “I mean what is the foundation of this case?”. “It is made of concrete, brick and mortar”, she responded. “I mean” he continued, “What are your relations like?”. “I have an aunt and uncle living here in town, and so do my husband’s parents”. He said, “Do you have a real grudge?” “No,” she replied, “We have a two-car carport and have never really needed one”. “Please,” he tried again, “Ma’am, does your husband ever beat you up?”. “Yes,” she responded, “about twice a week he gets up earlier than I do”. Finally, in frustration, the judge asked, “Lady, why do you want a divorce?” “Oh, I don’t want a divorce” she replied. “I’ve never wanted a divorce. My husband does. He said he can’t communicate with me!”

BEING MARRIEDAfter being married for thirty years, a wife asked her husband to describe her. He looked at her for a while, then said, “You’re an alphabet wife A, B, C, D, E, F, G, H, I, J, K.” She asks ...”What does that mean?” He said: “Adorable, Beautiful, Cute, Delightful, Elegant, Fabulous, Gorgeous, and Hot”. Smiling she said “ah I really do love you but what does the I, J, K, stand for?”. He said “I’m Just Kidding!”

T O R Q U I N G C A R S !UK INVESTORS JOIN £2.5BN LAWSUIT AGAINST VWVolkswagen investors from the UK have joined a multi-billion-euro lawsuit against the car maker that claims details about its emissions scandal were not published in a timely manner. The lawsuit, for damages of €3.25bn (£2.52bn), was filed at a regional court in Braunschweig in VW’s home state of Lower Saxony by 278 investors from across the world. The company has admitted installing “defeat devices” - software that allows cars to cheat in emissions tests - on 11m vehicles worldwide. Law firm TISAB, which is representing the investors, said the lawsuit was over whether VW neglected its duty to the capital markets between June 2008 and September 18, 2015. A spokesman for VW said the car maker could not comment because it had not been sent the lawsuit. The law firm has also filed a motion for so-called model claims, a German legal procedure which uses court rulings won by individual investors as templates to set damages for others that are equally affected. “Due to the fact that ... Volkswagen persistently denies any settlement negotiations and also refuses to waive the statute of limitation defense until now, it was necessary to file this first multi-billion-euro lawsuit,” lawyer Andreas Tilp said. It came as a former VW employee accused the company of deleting documents in the ongoing diesel emissions investigations. Daniel Donovan, who worked as an information technology employee in VW’s general counsel office, filed a seperate lawsuit claiming he was fired in December “because of his refusal to participate in a course of action” that would destroy evidence and obstruct justice.

FERRARI RACING CAR SOLD FOR WORLD-RECORD £24.7M – BUT NEW OWNER CAN’T DRIVE IT ON THE ROADA FERRARI that competed in some of the world’s most famous race events in the late 1950s has set a new world record for a racing car at auction, with the hammer coming down at €32m (£24.7m or $35.7m).The 1957 Ferrari 335 S Spider Scaglietti – which not only set a lap record at Le Mans with British driving ace Mike Hawthorn at the wheel, but also raced at Sebring in the US, the Mille Miglia in Italy and won the 1958 Cuba Grand Prix when driven by Stirling Moss – was sold on Friday for more than €32m, including taxes and the buyer’s premium, by auction house Artcurial. However, this isn’t the world record price for a car: that belongs to another Ferrari, a 250 GTO that went for $38m at an auction at Pebble Beach in California in 2014.In what was said to be a frantic auction, two bidders went head-to-head for more than 10 minutes before the victor, said only to be an “international buyer” represented in the room, came out on top. The 335 S is powered by a 4.1-litre engine that generates around 385bhp and, in its prime, was capable of 186mph. Quite apart from its pace, the absence of seat belts required a high degree of bravery to drive it. In addition to its racing pedigree and rarity (only four 335 S cars were ever buiult), one of the other factors that contributed to the extraordinary price is the car’s provenance – its recorded history and ownership – which included being part of a French private collection since 1970, owned by the late Pierre Bardinon, a prolific and renowned car collector. The new owner can’t drive their new purchase on a public road, however: it’s not homologated (certified) for road use, so it’s not registered as a road car – it would be too loud, for one thing. The owner is likely to drive it on a track, though, because, as Geneva-based British classic car specialist Simon Kidston said, in the wake of the sale: “Buying this car and not driving it would be like marrying the world’s most beautiful woman and not going to bed with her.”

GOLF COARSEQ:   I have a 19,000-mile VW Golf 1.2. On start-up from cold, there is an awful noise from the engine. It’s also using oil. What’s wrong? GB

A:  Many chain-cam engines rattle briefly before the oil is warm and has circulated. It’s important to ignore VW’s long-life oil service regime and change the oil and filter at least every 10,000 miles or 12 months, whichever comes first. (VW agreed to replace the chain. It will meet the cost of all parts and 70 per cent of the labour.) HJ

FAI NATIONAl P.R.O. OF THE YEAR

with “The Voice” Pat Harnett

WHAT A WEEK TO BE A KERRY SPORTS FAN:Kerry sports fans are often spoiled when it comes to teams winning titles. After the weekend we have both the hurlers and footballers in Division 1. And who knows how far the hurlers can go. They are the perfect example of building from the grass roots up and giving things time. The footballers have a great chance of making the final as they have only a few games jumped. It’s interesting to listen to many ‘commentators’ saying that it is great to see Kerry back into a National League final and that it is vital for our Championship preparations. These are the same guys said over the last few years that making the League’s final four was not a huge issue!Kerry should be get past a resurgent Roscommon and then it is either a re-match with Donegal or a crack off the Dubs – two huge games to look forward to. At underage the Sem’s great win gives Kerry a third Hogan Cup, with the county successful now three years in a row. Add in the two minor titles and hopefully an U21 win and the smile will be from ear to ear in GAA land. This is bound to increase the profile of the game which is good for the future of Kerry football.

STACKS NEWS:Applications are now invited for the GAA Gaeltacht Summer Course Scholarships. They are open to boys and girls and applicants must be registered members of Austin Stacks club. The closing date is Friday April 15th and if interested please text your child’s name and contact details to 087 6606693.Young players head to Killarney: The u6’s to u10’s will head to Killarney this Sunday for the annual visit to the Legion. Throw in for all groups will be at 10.30am and players are asked to meet at the club at 9.30am.The u12’s first team was very unlucky to go down to Kilcummin by 1 point but the second team defeated the same opposition. The third teams also met with Kilcummin winning narrowly. Teams 1 and 3 will travel to Laune Rangers this Sunday while Team 2 are away to Annascaul. The u14’s were unlucky to go down to An Ghaeltacht with the B’s in the game against Firies until a late on when a goal sealed the Stacks fate. The 15’s are due to be in Central League action this week while the 16’s had a good win over Laune Rangers. Stacks in Scor: The club will be represented in Scor na bPaisti this Sunday April 10th with the six hand reel team in County semi-final action in the Tintean Theatre Ballybunion. The County Finals are set for the following week. The club will also be represented in the quiz on the 17th and we wish them the best of luck.Scor Success: There was further Scor success this weekend when Spa Killarney won their 9th Senior Figure Dancing All Ireland. Their North Kerry namesakes Spa / Churchill came second

in the quiz which continued their great run which has seen then win twice and now come second in the last three years.

PARNELL’S NEWS:All ages back in training: Outdoor hurling commenced last Friday at the I.T North Campus Astro Turf for 7 to 8pm for under 6’s boys and girls, under 8 boys and girls and boys under 10’s. All other hurling camogie teams trained in Caherslee at the same 7pm time. Race Night: The main Parnells main fundraiser of the year takes place on the 16th of April in the Rose / Fels Point Hotel with the first race off ay 8.30pm. Club members are selling horses for e30 each. This entitles you to entry into one race where a cash prize will be won by the winner of each race. The club needs as much support as possible and horses can be bought from all club officers. Camogie: The Parnells under 12 girls are really looking forward to playing a blitz against Munster counties on the hallowed turf at Thurles this Saturday.Under 10’s at Austin Stack’s Park: Over 30 under 10’s boys and girls were thrilled to play an exhibition game during half time of Kerry’s great hurling win last weekend. The u14’s played Crotta O’Neills in Round 2 of the County League and while they went down 2-10 to 1-06 despite a very spirited display. A few missed scoring chances and the concession of two late goals was the difference. However the team can take a lot of positives from the game. The u16’s game versus Abbeydorney has been rearranged for this Sunday at Caherslee at 6.30pm.The Minors played their first game of 2016. They took on Causeway in a North Kerry fixture. Last year Parnells fielded a minor team for the first time and this year most of these players are of the right age. While Causeway took the win the Parnells players battled to the finish and with a few additions this size can challenge for honours. On Line Registration: Members are asked to ensure that they and their families are registered on-line as soon as possible.

ST PAT’S NEWS:There was no winner of the Club Lotto from the numbers drawn 16, 19, 23 and 25 and the next jackpot will be e5,500 with the draw in Keane’s Bar on Sunday night. The u6’s and 8’s are training outdoor while the u10’s are enjoying their Go Games. They are due to play Annascaul this Sunday at home at 11am with the 6’s and 8’s also playing the same opposition. The u12’s played their first game in the County League away to Listry in a cracking game and their next game is at home to Kilcummin this Sunday at 6pm. The u14’s put up a good performance away to a strong Churchill in the St Brendan’s League. They have a bye in the County League Round 2 and will meet Asdee / Ballylongford away in

Round 3. The 16’s are away to Castlegregory in the Central Region League this Monday, April 11th.Girls training has resumed on Sunday’s from 10.30 to 11.30am and all aged between 8 and 12 are welcome.Seniors: The seniors were defeated 1-10 to 3-14 in the County League Division Round 3. Their next game is away to Keel this Saturday at 6.30pm.Feile 2016: The build-up to Feile continues to gather momentum for the big weekend of June 24th to 26th. St Pat’s were drawn in Division 9 and will host Delaware Gaels from Philadelphia, Dingle and Offaly in their group. Mary Wallace is organising a bag packing fundraiser and all help will be appreciated. The club wishes its Scor acts all the best for the County semi-finals this Saturday night..

KERINS O’RAHILLY’S NOTES:Seniors: The seniors are in Senior County League Division 1 Round 3 action this Saturday at 6.30pm in Templenoe. The Minors play Firies in the County League away at 6.30pm on Friday.Juveniles: All the juvenile teams, including the girls, in the club train at the usual times and new members are always welcome. The u16’s play Abbeydorney this Friday but the venue was not known at the time of going to press.Feile: Thanks to all those who helped or contributed to the clubs recent Feile fundraisers – the bake sale and bag packing in Dunnes. Annual Club Mass: There was a nice turnout for the annual club Mass where all deceased members and relatives were remembered.Lotto: There was no winner of the Lotto from the numbers drawn 10, 19, 20 and 27 and the next jackpot will be e2100.Off field activities: All the regular weekly off field activities go ahead as normal at this busy club.

There will be a special appearance from Brian Carlin, the sailing and yachting photo and videographer who was on Team Vestas Wind when it crashed in the Indian ocean. If you haven’t seen the footage of the crash and the evacuation it is worth checking out. Thankfully all those on board got off safely. Brian’s talk will be the opening part of the evening so that juniors can attend to hear him speak.

TRALEE’S YOUNGSTERS DO WELL IN WATERFORD:Following on from the Ras Mumhan action on the roads of Kerry over Easter the action turned to Waterford on Sunday with the Dungarvan Cycling Club Cyclesports GP.The strength of Kerry cycling at the underage

level was apparent again with riders from the county on the podium in all three age groups. Kieran Coggins of Tralee CC was very impressive in the u16’s taking second place behind Comeragh CC’s Kieran O’Sullivan. Castlegregory’s Tom Moriarty who rides with O’Leary Stone Kanturk was the winner of a tough u14 section. Tralee Manor West iBike’s Sean Barrett was 5th in the same section. In the u12 race Killarney Cycling Clubs Shane Galvin took the runners up spot in a race won by Carlow CC’s Conal Scully. In the Ladies race Kenmare CC’s Lisa Staplebrook finished well inside the top ten taking 8th spot.

CIRCUIT OF KERRY ANOTHER GREAT SUCCESS:The Rose Hotel Circuit of Kerry saw the huge field rally in almost perfect conditions with the event counting as the second round of the Triton Showers National Rally Championship. An event like this takes weeks and weeks of planning by a dedicated bunch of volunteers who put in a huge effort to make sure things run well. The proof of how professional the Kerry Motor Club are can be seen in the top class entry that took to the stages in Ballymac, Knocknagoshel and Brosna. While the overall victory went to the Donegal dup of Declan and Brian Boyle (Ford Fiesta WRC) there was plenty of Kerry successes after the 7 stage event.Kerry co-driver Tony Healy called the notes for Tyrone’s Ryan Loughran as the duo took the Modified section in their Ford Escort Mk2. The Junior section also had a Kerry co-driver on the top step of the podium with Kieran O’Donoghue alongside Meath’s Gary McNamee in their Honda Civic.Aidan Buckley and Alan O’Doherty (Ford Escort Mk1) were another Kerry crew in the prizes as they won Class 17 and the Historic section just ahead of fellow Kerry men PJ O’Dowd and John Young in the Talbot Sunbeam. In Class 10 the all Kerry crew of Eddie Kennelly and Timmy Murphy took the honours in their Ford Escort while John Browne and Sean O’Coileain were 3rd in Class IIF in a Honda Civic. There was more Kerry success in Class IIR with Keith McCarthy co-driving Kenneth Ryan’s Escort MK2 to top spot. Cyril Wharton and Helen Duggan had a good day out in Class 12 as they took the runners up spot in another Ford Escort MK2. For some of the top Kerry crews it was not a day to remember. Alan Ring, with regular co-driver Adrian Deasy alongside him in their new Ford Fiesta R5 + were in 6th early on before being forced out two kilometres from the end of Stage 3 with fuel related issues. Rob Duggan was debuting his Vauxhall Adam as part of the works team that were using the event as a shakedown for the upcoming Circuit of Ireland. However his rally ended on the opening stage with mechanical issues and although he re-joined for the second loop of stages he was side lined with a technical problem.

WILLIAM’S SCORES HISTORIC KERRY GOAL:The Kerry u17’s played their first away game and second game in the Airtricity League when

they travelled away to Bray Wanderers. The success of Kerry’s first season at this level will be measured in small steps. Credit goes to the players who matched Bray for long periods of the game. Kerry should have gone in front in the 23rd minute but the Bray keeper made a very good save from a Kevin Williams effort. The game at this level is all about taking your chances and Bray did that with 3 quick goals in the 30th, 35th and 39th minutes. Kerry kept battling and got their reward when Williams showed great alertness to pounce on a loose kick out and slip the ball to the net to give his side their first U17 League of Ireland goal. Bray did score twice more for a 5-1 win but Kerry will take some positives from this game. They realise they have to be on their game from the start and sustain the performance all through. And when they get chances they must take them. They welcome UCD to Tralee this Sunday with the Dublin side having won both their games defeating Wexford Youths 4-3 on Sunday. Kerry: Robert Osbourne, Gearoid Dillane, Thomas Burke (Sheldon Neill 70 mins), Conor Standen, David O’Connor (Blake Bolster 60 mins), Darren Loughnane (Shaagh O’Connor 82), Dylan O’Sullivan (Sean Carmody 60 mins), Martin Cloughlin, Dillon Robinson, Thando Dube, Kevin Williams. Subs not used – Ben Cooney, Neil Downey and Brian Lonegan.
