Godrej - Partner of the Year Award !!The year 2014 started with a big bang for us! Labournet was awarded the prestigious “Partner of the Year- 2014” by Godrej & Boyce at their employability meet. It was indeed a proud moment for us when Mr. Navroze Godrej, Executive Director of the Godrej & Boyce handed over the award to our CEO Gayathri Vasudevan. LabourNet was unanimously voted by the internal business verticals of Godrej.

The project involved creating a robust and replicable on-site training model to deliver simple & unswerving teaching methodology to carpenters, masons, bar benders etc. across arduous locations throughout the country. A diverse participant group from East to West and North to South were mobilized, registered, trained, assessed and certified over a period of one year at various Livelihood Centres of Labournet as well as Client-partner venues. Construction Technician training, Interio Carpentry Training, Lock Technician Training, Sales Training, Fork Lift Operator, Refrigeration and Air Conditioning were some of the projects that were introduced during the year. These courses were short-term training programs which were conducted over a period of 1 to 3 months. 30503 candidates were registered for these training courses. All in all, a project becomes a success story because of collective efforts. The electrifying camaraderie of the employees and the undaunted support of the top leaders forged together changed a Mission Impossible assignment into an Award Winning story of Triumph and Glory!

Presently the Beauty and Wellness program is being conducted in 71 schools across 22 districts training 2088 girls of class IX. The Physical Education and Sports program is being conducted in 19 schools across Haryana for boys of class IX. LabourNet is conducting the physical education and sports programme in partnership with Edusports. LabourNet has been part of this project from the very beginning, i.e. from the time of initiation, to conceptualization, to project planning and implementation and now, even project monitoring. None of this would have been possible without the emboldening and motivation provided by the Department of School Education and the Board of School Education, Government of Harayana. To increase employability and to make students employable the Harayana board and the Department of Education in accordance with the NVEQF have chartered this ambitious program. The success of this program has encouraged Labournet to introduce Beauty and Wellness, Electrical and Electronics and Tailoring as optional vocational courses in other schools across 37 different districts in Harayana.
