Welcome back to students, staff and families. The start of term has been very
busy, but students have settled in very well to their new classrooms and met

Duty of care issues
*Student drop off/pick up – Parents/Carers please use the top car park near the gym rather than the staff carpark
unless you need to come into the office. Please avoid dropping students off in high traffic areas. Drivers please drive
cautiously at all times when on our grounds! Students do not always have great road sense.
*Students who ride a bike should provide a helmet for their own safety. Students who need a helmet should see staff
as we have access to helmets through a community program.
**Please talk to your child about crossing roads in designated areas. Due to the quick increase in size of
our school the mornings in particular are much busier than in the past. Students must adhere to road rules and
behave in a safe and respectful manner at all times on their way to and from school.
Message from the School Association
Please come along to join if you are a new parent. You will have more of a say in how we improve our school and
it’s a great way to improve your understanding of how the school operates. We value the support of parents on the
association – which is much more active these days supporting the school with fund raising and events. The
commitment is 6-8 meetings a year with the option to join event planning and fundraising if you are able to.
NEXT meeting – Wednesday 21 February – School Café (off staff car park) from 5-6pm.
