ERFDS MUX 01/22/02

2.1 The devices included in Loop Test 11-11 collectively function toprovide a method of obtaining a liquid sample from the pressurizer.Valve 9355A will close on a Containment Isolation Phase "A" signal.

2.2 Calibration is achieved by bench setting the valve and setting theposition switches to specified position.

2.3 POS-303, POS-1044, and SV-370 are environmentally qualified.

2.4 Valve 9355A is time tested in the closed direction per STP V-3S1.

For valve and regulator calibration a 0.5~ test gauge of appropriate rangemay be used. Therefore, a 0-60 a 0.3 PSIG test gauge is appropriate.

9. 0 CONCLUSION

A valve full closed functional limit of ~ 6.0 PSIG will ensure therequirement in Section 4.2.2 is met. Setting POS-303 at ~ 1/16" fromvalve full closed will ensure consistent results for the valve timingtest. This will satisfy the requirement specified in Section 4.1. Thevalve is verified to fully open s air supply. 'This satisfies therequirement of Section 4.2.1.

Current plant scaling was corrected. The previous seating criteria(1 PSIG) was based on a soft seat, however, seating criteria was correctedto 3 PSIG due to Valve 9355 having a stellite seat (Ref 3.6). This willincrease the seating force of the valve in a conservative direction.
